All you do is copy the @*mod folder* from your Arma 2 folder to the Arma 3 folder. For example, I copied and pasted the "@RKSL" folder from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3"

How to install ArmA 3 on a RAMDisk

Important notes

• Recommended System Memory - 10-12GB+
• ArmA 3 must already be installed on one of your HDD's

----

I made a RAMDisk tutorial yesterday but I missed a few important steps which caused the game to delete upon unmounting the RAMDisk. Sorry if it effected you after watching that video.

I keep getting a message when trying to add disk
you cannot create a ramdisk exceeding 95% of the available ram

any idea mate?

How much RAM do you have and how much are you trying to allocate?

You probably have processes using up a large chunk of RAM in the background.

Try rebooting and then running RAMDisk. That way you'll have less resources being hogged at start up.

cool, I have 16gb of ram and I've tried 14GB and also 12.5GB. Will reboot and see how it goes, thanks mate.

You would be comfortable adding 8-10GB to RAMDisk. The rest of your available RAM will balance out for good performance.

Ok mate, thank you very much for the tip, you were right I killed a few things and it was able to mount but I'm going to recreate what it with what you suggested, thanks for your help. Your video was really really easy and simple to follow by the way.
