DOOO IIITT!I'm so close to pulling the trigger on this but the switch to red makes me hesitant, I've spent years perfecting my NVCP settings and what not haha!
I feel like this dog below, can't wait!

Alternatively you could wait for Nvidia's 4070/4070ti that are most likely going to overpriced 4060/4060ti in disguiseI'm so close to pulling the trigger on this but the switch to red makes me hesitant, I've spent years perfecting my NVCP settings and what not haha!
I could but I'm so over waiting, its been 2 years now fs.Alternatively you could wait for Nvidia's 4070/4070ti that are most likely going to overpriced 4060/4060ti in disguise![]()
Games like CSGO, the only competitive game I play on and off really don't require either team green or red, the game runs at stupid high FPS anyway, with the 3070 I was GPU bound at 1440P with FPS uncapped averaging 375 FPS on 1440P. (High settings 8xMSAA)I could but I'm so over waiting, its been 2 years now fs.
Another reason I'm hesitant about the switch to red is that my trusted PC gaming source reckons AMD have little niggly driver issues and latency spikes which aren't present in green, but, its minor and only really applicable if you're a hardcore gamer chasing the absolute best in performance/latency, and not a filthy casual like myself
That video is from over a year ago though.I could but I'm so over waiting, its been 2 years now fs.

I'd be interested to know if you still need to lock your GPU core clock to avoid latency or whether that's been fixed in the driver overhaulThat video is from over a year ago though.
Recently (around 10 days ago) Linus Tech Tips despite they have always been leaning more toward the green than the red, they released a video and part of it stating that AMD's has essentially overhauled their driver completely back in May and pretty much make the driver issues a moot point now.
Can't remember if that's been addressed in the video...may be you could look it up to see if they have talked about that?I'd be interested to know if you still need to lock your GPU core clock to avoid latency or whether that's been fixed in the driver overhaul
Not necessarily. The 7900 XTX should be around 66% faster than a £650 6900 XT. £650 x 1.66 is £1079. The 7900 XTX reference model is expected to be between £1000-£1100 at the current exchange rate, so performance per dollar should be very similar. The 7900 XTX should also be cheaper to run as it's more power efficient, and will have more features like AV1 encode.
Did you change your mind about AMD's drivers?
Well, I did try to point that out to you before but you said it was called "pattern recognition".How can I change my mind? Never owned a 6K series.
5K no change.
ffs........ "AMD drivers bad" Nvidia have problems too.... "yeah but that was two years ago"
AMD driver problems were more than 2 years ago, they are just as solid as Nvidia now, stop with this crap.![]()
They are not, end of.
Never will be, end of.
Fine Wine TM, never a "Now".
I have an Nvidia GPU, Nvidia drivers are NOT trouble free, stop with the worshipping, AMD's drivers are no better or worse than Nvidia's, Nvidia fanboys trying to perpetuate something about a someone who is a competitor to Nvidia that just isn't true anymore because like a religion faith demands it.
I am not worshipping, I am stating the truth, you won't encounter driver problems anywhere close to as consistent on Nvidia as you do with AMD.
But you know, to fit in, we must white lie things, them feels.
You're talking poo.
You are welcome to your opinion even if way off.
Have you actually owned an AMD 6000 series GPU? If not your opinion seems somewhat outdated and irrelevant.
No I owned multiple Radeon over a 13 year course.
It is called pattern recognition.
You dismisse it because you think only the 6000 series matters. Arrogance at it's finest.
The last was the 5700-XT. Many denied them issues too and only until Youtubers chimed in they gave a quarter of a fck.
Once Radeon driver team said they have fixed it. It was still not fixed for many, me included. But the heard will read it and use that to push away gamers needing help because their experience is "best". They revert back to prior Youtube exposure. Ignorant and arrogant fools.
Bury your head.. it don't fix it.
I went down that road because idiots kept downplaying the issue, absolute built up resentment from not just this place but Reddit who only gave a F about themselves.Well, I did try to point that out to you before but you said it was called "pattern recognition".![]()
