The legal presumption of innocence and factual/actual innocence aren't the same thing.

Because a UK court is going to give him a fair trial and an assurance he wont be extradited.

Darling of the left? Most of the people I've seen defending Assange lately are alt-right. His rapid pro-Trump, and pro-Le Pen, position has alienated most of his former supporters on the Left. Still, he seems to have managed the impressive feat of being appreciated by people at both extremes.

I wonder how much longer he'll stay squatting in the Ecuadorian embassy? I wonder whether they'll continue tolerating him now his excuse has faded. The scenario I'm hoping for is that he emerges prior to the statue of limitation, gets arrested, tried and jailed by the Brits for contempt of court, and then - while he's imprisoned - the Swedes renew their warrant and he finally faces trial.

Assange is a complete idiot at this point, to be prepared to waste his life in a tiny room with no prospect of leaving, based on a fear of being extradited and then... imprisoned in a tiny room with no prospect of leaving :p

Time to leave, Assange. Clear your name in the courts and put an end to this madness.

He should have left after 12 months. That's long enough for a self-imposed imprisonment. It must be affecting his sanity, surely!

He probably doesn't have to wear an orange jumpsuit in the embassy though.
 
But if he lives the rest of his life in that embassy, he's lost his freedom anyhow. And he only has his *fear* of being imprisoned in the US to justify his self-imposed, very real imprisonment.

Most Assange defenders are actually firmly on the alt-right.

Go read some right wing news sources in the US. Breitbart comments is a good start.
