Assassins Creed 3: American Revolution

How would I know if i haVe the season pass? Bought from cjs, activated fine on install and in the extras bit but I cat see anything anywhere to identify that I have the deluxe version

No idea I asked ubi the same question and still awaiting a response. I would gather if you could activate the code ingame then you should be ok ? From what I read you should have lots of things pop up or something ?

Finally got into playing this & beginning to enjoy it,I had a problem in Boston shooting the gun as the gun itself suddenly didn't appear but the shot still went off  the reloading of the flintlock animation is the cause of problems for some players systems it seems.
I altered the ini file to set the vertical sync to off & set the refresh rate to my monitors 120Hz & running very smooth so far with no noticeable graphic problems regarding tearing or getting stuck in a wall etc..

Well Paypal refused my claim and decided in favor of CJS-Cdkeys as there was no physical item exchanged hands so it is not covered under the paypal buyers protection scheme.

So CJS can continue to lie and rip people off and paypal can not do anything as they do not sell a physical product..

Never mind...

I wonder if you can reject downloads under the distance selling act. With goods you buy that are delivered I think you get up to 7 days to send them back, no reason needed. Not sure if that would work with digital download though..

I will happily tell everyone about my experiences with them and will advise people to stay clear. They are criminals lying to their cutomers and paypal and selling standard or used codes instead of the advertised codes.

The fact that they sell the game boxes under the premise that you can play the game offline shows that they are dodgy, there was a discussion about it over on the daily deals thread.

Straight from their web site:

Why are CJS selling used PC Game boxes and discs?
These game boxes are ideal for PC Gamers on a budget who want to play a used game on single-player without online authentication. They are also ideal for customers who bought a CD Key but also want a physical disc to keep, to save downloading the game and have a physical copy in hand.

Also the fact they sell games that require activation through a proxy just screams out "dodgy" to me as well. I personally wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, even if that means paying a little bit more elsewhere.

They are now under investigation from barclaycard as I reported it to them. They are nothing but criminals and hopefully people can learn from my mistakes and steer well clear of CJS-Cdkeys.....

so they are getting paid twice for each game, once for the key and again for the boxed version without a key

The game was awaiting me when I got home from work, so I installed and started playing earlier this evening. So far I'd say it's pretty good - it's certainly more captivating than Revelations was (Brotherhood was decent, but after a while I started feeling like I was playing for the sake of playing and to just complete it; whereas Revelations felt like a chore the whole way through).

Also, despite my ageing graphics card (albeit moderately overclocked), I'm getting reasonable performance (40s-50s) with everything maxed out, which surprised me at first considering I've seen a number of reports where people with GTX570s or higher are getting shoddy frame rates.

Overall I'd say my experiences with the game thus far have been largely positive, both in regards to the gameplay and story as well as performance. My only gripe is that I noticed PunkBuster was installed after I exited and checked Task Manager.

Looking great on my old 5850 as well. DX11 goodness is shining through! Solid 60fps and no stutter at all.
I was a bit worried when the trailers came out, the gameplay graphics didn't look as crisp as the previous games but I am pleasantly surprised.

My god this game is awful... So Boring and so many bugs. By far the worst of the series yet...

I've completed it now and I actually quite enjoyed it. I prefer the homestead style missions to the pointless buy every building in sight economy of the previous games. Some of the objectives for 100% sync were infuriating though. Hard isn't the word to describe some of them, pathetic is a better fit :p. The ship missions weren't bad either, they're definitely the best mini game the series has had so far.

I've only encountered one bug where my objective marker didn't appear early on in the game, other than that I've got no complaints at all other than rainbow hair on some characters in cut scenes. The game has not crashed once which is a pleasant surprise for a PC game.

A few things that need improving are tutorials or even pop up boxes to explain some of the functions of the game. It might just be me being stupid but I didnt know how to get convoys until the last 5 or so hours of the game. I think they also need to redesign the way the homestead missions function. Fortunately for me I didn't miss any out as i'm a bit of a completionist but it's very easy to miss missions out and not get access to some things later on.
