never finished 3, between side feature overload, very very dull main guy (should have stuck with the brit), and a little too much farting around in the "real world", it just didnt work for me.

the other thing was that they cranked up the side quests so much yet removed almost any worthwhile reward from doing so. I actually enjoyed the side quests from 2 and follow ons as it gave some nice varieties of armour and weapons. The homestead could have been so worthwhile but they made it dull AND unrewarding.

I hope 4 is better and not just "wow people only really liked the sailing from 3, lets make an entire game revolve around that". Was the sailing bit good, yes, was it made to look even better because the rest of the game was lacking, imo, yes. I'll wait for reviews before deciding on this one i feel, and even then probably a sale
 
Im in two minds wether to get this or not, i like the game as its something different but ide love to see an AC game without the whole Animus part of the story because personally thats the one thing i hate about the game.
 
Picked it up cheap by buying it from someone with a voucher from the Nvidia promotion, really looking forward to this as the reviews seem very good. Didn't spend much time on AC3 so the sailing part will be new for me as well :)
 
Struggling through 3 still... My god this is some of the worst gameplay I have ever encountered. It better be greatly improved in IV!

Edit - actually, I just Completed it... The modern day bits- what a, load of nonsense... Can I be a pirate already?

A Microsoft Windows version was announced for release on October 29, 2013, but has since been delayed "a few weeks," and will be released on November 19, 2013 in North America and November 22, 2013 in Europe.
