Game runs smooth, better than Origins for me, but not by much ("4K" 80% w/ RX 480, capped at 30fps; settings wise I only turn down clouds, shadows, AA to med, etc max all the LOD & environment detail stuff), and looks better too I might add. Some of the higher end options are definitely more taxing though (e.g. clouds).
As for the gameplay itself, it's fine, they're trying to be fancier than Origins and imo it's kinda annoying. At least with that one you knew the combat & such were mediocre but they didn't get in the way of the game's strengths: its world. The A.I. is acting strange in this game, and some other gameplay decisions they made miff me (e.g. bounty hunters - utterly garbage idea and implementation; changes to bow & arrows make it mostly useless unless you overlevel, changes to weapon type behaviours & progression etc.). I am playing on nightmare though, so that's colouring my impression a bit (deaths galore!). Definitely need level parity when fighting for the most part else it's just gonna take 10x longer, but since it also affects ass. dmg, it's still needed (can't 1 hit kill = way more planning needed). It's definitely not a straight copy of Origins gamplay, and that's for the worst for me, but it's doing enough well to compensate so it's a wash.
All in all, very much enjoying the game despite the niggles and look forward for the >100hrs I reckon it will take to finish, so far I finished Kephallonia and it took about 5.
