Assassin’s Creed Origins

ok - I'm serious if not exactly in tune with the times - can you turn off blood / gore effects in the menu?
apparently you could for past games in the series, but I'm not coming up with clear affirmation regarding this iteration.

if anyone with the game could check for me I'd appreciate it.

You want to turn them off?

Hammered it today. Really enjoyed it. Tbh, I wasn't that fond of Alexandria. It looks impressive, but I found the game picked up when I left it actually(that is where it really opens up too).

I've switched to 'light' hud now. I really despise some of the things it does, but 'minimal' simply doesn't give you enough info that you really need. It could do with something in between, or the ability to customise it a bit more. Just minimal but with loot would be a lot better, and maybe enemy marking with the eagle.

Also, I really like the animations for horse/camel riding, and the way the camera adjusts.

Edit- my God the AI is atrocious! I just snuck in to a front past loads of high level enemies to rescue some guy. Took my time and didn't kill anyone.... Then it says I have to escort out and he just runs past loads of enemies alerting the whole place:rolleyes:It is like they are so desperate for everything to turn in to a massive fight.

One thing that annoys me is when you restart from a mission checkpoint, the guys you'e already dispatched are still lying dead. Wish it would completely reset. Makes it better dying as it actually resets that way.

I am REALLY glad about this, imo AC Origins is simply a superb title and an unmatched gameworld. The Origins gameworld is so alive , with so many great details (many of which are "unnecessary" which just makes it all the more amazing that they were included) that it has severly raised the bar for whats to be expected of an open world game environment. So I'm very happy that its selling well as the devs and studio who did this deserve it.

Hopefully it now encourages Ubisoft to stick with this approach resulting in more excellent games like this for us to play.

Something I haven't thought about- are new mounts actually worth getting?... I've still got the original one.

Also, I'm 20 hours on and I didn't even know tombs were a thing!

Horses feel faster too me. Can't tell if I am imagining it or what. But aside from that I think its mostly cosmetic skins between mounts.

Haven't used anything other than the horse I acquired at the start - some kind of helix/gold special. He has tusks and everything :D

That first camel was slow!
