Assassin’s Creed Origins

I went to new Zealand earlier to play it.

Im really enjoying the game, it feels a bit different compared to the others and combat is a lot harder but better.

Runs pretty well overall. Using a mixture of very high / ultra

65-90 fps on the following

4690k @4.6
1080ti
1440p

Just finished the first hours gameplay, will check out Wolfenstein in a short while once it finishes unpacking. But ..wow..just wow. In terms of gameworld design and aesthetics, AC Origins is simply phenomenal. I actually like the new combat mechanics, feels much more fluid and action-ey compared to the past iterations with the "preset" animations. But when you get to the first town and see the sheer scope of the game, then look at the map and realise how small the area you are looking at is, just superb. Got a feeling I am going to really enjoy this !

Screenshot of my arrival at the first town (uploading has blurred it slightly I'm afraid, not really sure wheres best to host images these days)

This unlocked last night at 11 oclock as the UK is an hour behind most of Europe, I sat playing till 2 oclock and must say it's amazing and so far I've survived done a couple of side quests and mostly spent time collecting skins and other stuff to improve my kit so I can survive attacks by packs of rabid Hyenas etc.

How's the game fairing out? Is it loot boxed to ****? I like the idea of levels, skills and loot, but it looked like it was gearing up for lootbox style gameplay. Plus, every single AAA title and their dog has some for of coloured loot system now. Gambling for kids.
