Assassin’s Creed Origins

Yep on 2nd area now after 5 hours.. game is very good just annoying u can't dismantle or sell the dlc weapons :( but that's my only whine about the game.. one of the best looking games on the pc imo the sandstorms are amazing

Out of interest, do you have to had played any of the other games in the Assassin's Creed series or is this one going to be the start of the series ?? Considering it called Origins it could be perceived to be the first game, no ?

Only criticism I have is difficulty in understanding the voice audio; I haven't a clue what the story is about! Still in the first village though exploring every nook and cranny! :)

What's the performance like? I'm wondering if my 980ti and 3570k @ 4.2ghz will run it at ultra 1440p

You will be struggling a bit there mate, high to very high I would think.

In game benchmark is actually one of the best I have seen, gives FPS and frametime for both cpu and gpu.

You dont necessarily have to have played the others, there are little pieces of lore dotted about in the form of emails and notes back in the "real" world, but there is no real need to read those or have an understanding of those. This game is about the "first" assassin which is why its called Origins but its entirely playable if you havent played the others

Thank you, that's good to know. :) Especially since there is quiet a few Assassin's Creed games out and about, would take some time to play all those before this one. If I decide to buy it I mean. :p

I'm impressed once i'd navigated the 32 core issue :) Apparently, in classic ubisoft they've managed to make a game that will run on 30 cores but not 32....

Game looks good plays well and due to it's sheer size doesn't feel as claustrophobic.

Enjoying this one. Nice environment to play in. I never played Assassins Creed games, only started with Syndicate (to play around in a London setting!)... but so far so good. At Alexandria now and working my thought that lot after 12 hours! I like to do all missions, side, etc before moving on part of map. Explorer and all that. The map is massive.

Performance wise, it needs some work. It set it for me at very high ... was getting dips into 30's... so changed it to high and stays around 40-70 with 6700k, 980ti at 1440p.

Right getting my camel again.... :p
