Assistance - Calling all Samsung EVO owners

Dervious, you have a strong case there, will be interesting to see their response now.

well that's kinda good that its gone below what they state as then they cant fob you off

Just received this reply..........

"Please send us a screen shot from Magician tool with the performance history.
Only like this we can check the real performance of the SSD.

Thank you."

So, HDTune does not show the real performance of the SSD.

Yeah, right.

Yeah, right.

lol i can see where they are going to go with this, their software will show the speeds are fine as its a quick and short test so they will then blame HD Tune

I`ve just sent them an email explaining this.

(And how good I'm finding Crucial MX100s).

its funny how they never asked for the tests to be done in their software till now

Yes.

I was expecting a more positive, or at least informative response from Samsung. It looks like they are doing a bit of "fobbing off". I expected slightly better from them. They seem to be "doing an Nvidia".

I hope others are requesting answers on this matter.

would be intresting to see if anyone else has got the same answer back.

was hoping for a better reply than that as well from Samsung, would be good to see what they they are doing to look in to the issue

Also there is no problem with the lighting on Corsair's RGB Mechanical keyboards, and Nvidia's GTX970 does have 4GB VRAM, there's nothing wrong with that either.

Corsair, Samsung and Nvidia. Big hardware manufacturers who only make quality products and look after their customers.

Probably.

I am aware that the Magician tool performance test only checks the read speed of a small section of the SSD, and possibly writes a small block of data to do the test. It will therefore not show any slowdown in performance.

There is still a problem with my SSD, and many others.

I have purchased and supplied many 840 EVOs to my customers, but since I found that this issue was not properly solved by the performance restoration tool/firmware update, I have been buying and installing Crucial SSDs (the MX100 performs as well as the 840 EVO, and is now cheaper).

In the meantime I have attached all of the benchmarks I have done since I carried out a secure erase/restore on my SSD at the end of December.

I look forward to a statement from Samsung on this matter.

Regards,

Oh dear, not looking good. Your just getting the runaround now.

Seems that what more hardware manufacturers do these days, give their paying customers the runaround.

I don't like being treated like an idiot either.

Still, no more Samsung SSDs for me.

Aurhinius, the more the merrier :)

Dervious, it the least damaging option for them unfortunately and as long as the sales keep coming it won't change.
