ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition: The Ultimate LGA2011 Motherboard

Team LV Xtreem matches ok as well. The M6F.

I didnt spot any high speed 8gb sticks however which seems like the other downside to Haswell, where on ivy I could stick a bunch of superfast 4gb sticks in, im limited to a very select few modules here.

Either way, currently looking like:

CPU: 4770k at 4.6ghz+
Mobo: Asus Maximus VI Formula
Cooling: EK Water Blocks EK-Supremacy Clean CSQ - Nickel
Ram: 2x Patriot Venom Red 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C10 2400MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (32gb total).

I am seriously thinking of the DArk also now.

Think the preorder on the BE was going for about 2 weeks before I bought mine so assume I don't stand much chance of getting it in this first small allocation. I have a few weeks off over Xmas and want to do the build then.

EVGA don't want the same muck up they had with the other X79 boards (one of the reasons for the darks existence) with regards to bios issues. Hopefully they get it sorted, looks a beast of a board :)

Im thinking about a Dark too, not sure yet. One thing about EVGA is that there support is a million times better than asus. There great if you have to send something back and if they aint git it instock they will normally just upgrade you to the next best thing! Peace of mind you do have with EVGA.

it's an amazing board, I used to set 1.24V to get 4930k stable at 4.5G with old r4e board, now with dark, it only gets to 1.208V P95 stable.

Thats impressive quite a decrease in volts. Only thing i dont like is there is only a vrm block in development at atm and not a full mobo block. This is what stopping me from buying one.
