So far I can ascertain all they are doing is checking that the serial number of the returned board is correct, and that there is actually something in the box. I reckon that they will just replace yours in the usual way... let's hope so anyway! :)

Board just collected, fingers crossed..

Hope so, trying to clear my credit card not rack another £200 onto it. I've read that they can charge you for the replacement of the socket, £20 or so. Then again if these boards are likely to be scrapped hopefully they ignore the socket.

board now installed & up & running.

board came flashed to 1502 Bios, no cold boot/double boot issues to report, actually no issues what so ever to report, other than ive got twice as many lockable SATA cables than i need due to forgetting the original ones where still on my hdd's when i packed up my old B2 board. :p

You can always sell them on Ebay! :D

Personally, I doubt if they will even check... especially if you put the 'cap' over it!

Mine was despatched in less than an hour after they received it, which doesn't leave them time to do much checking.

I am sure you will be fine, and should receive your replacement on Wednesday.

That's good to hear, I may need to "forget" to pack mine as well :D

Is there an email sent when the replacement is shipped? If it was refused it's bLund to make mention of it.

nope, they just ship the replacement on reciept of your board.

i wouldn't worry about the duff socket, the boards aren't going to be resold or anything, so ide be amazed if there was any come backs about the bent pins.

Murphys law for me regarding computers though. Roll on Wednesday!

Well ive just got home and Asus have sent me my UPS tracking return details.

Ive booked a collection for tomorrow, ive had no email confirmation which i thought was strange, but still happy ive finally received the UPS shipping info:).

Now i have the decision on whether to keep my sabertooth or go back to the Deluxe P67

Bank holiday is a pain at time`s :D

I just hope that no one has arranged for a collection on this Wednesday or Thursday (20th & 21st April), as they are then going have to wait a few extra days for it to be returned.

Then of course the only optimal day for collection the following week is Tuesday 26th May, as the Friday of that week is yet another Bank Holiday for the 'Royal Wedding', so there won't be any couriers working then I am sure!

You have been warned! :D

Recieved my UPS return label yesterday or on Saturday, not sure which as I did not check my mail until Monday, board packaged up and ready for collection. UPS coming today to collect.

I put the board and all accessories in the box by the way.

does it matter if you got it from that auction site. thinking about doing mine. also do you need a receipt

you don't need a receipt, all you need is the serial number on the box for when you fill out the online form. dunno about the auction site, i shouldn't think it matters tbh.

do you think i should just put the name of my local shop in? they know full well its not a year old anyway

whats the turn around time. i know it says 7-10 days but has it been taking that long? would have thought the mad rush at the start would be over now?

think ill wait till after the bank holidays have passed might not take as long then.

i don't think it matters in the slightest what you put down with regards to where the board came from.

turn around time is about 3 days, mine took 4, but that was only because mine was collected on a Thursday, & UPS standard delivery isn't a weekend service, so it sat around in the UPS hub all weekend till Monday morning.

If you don't want to be without it for too long' I would ask them to collect it next Tuesday, and you should then have it back on the Thursday, otherwise I would leave it untill the following week, because we have yet another Bank Holiday for the wedding!
