ATI Catalyst™ version 10.7

For those who have "problems with 400/constant memory bug" apparently that's not a bug but a workaround for multiple monitor setting.

If it bothers you so much you can simply download MSI afterburner, go to settings -> profiles and choose 2d clocks (you can choose stock clocks for 2d clocks and it will idle on the usual 136/300 or whatever it is I don't remember) and choose the overclocked clocks for 3d application.

Not impressed with the 10.7 release.

I play a lot of Bad Company 2, have lost 25 FPS using the 10.7 compared to the 10.4a beta's. (10.5 & 10.6 kept giving me freeze/lockups)

Looks better on the 10.4'a as well, smooth and less pop ups when running and turning.

So its a BIG THUMBS DOWN from me.

AM

Specs:
Q9550 @ 3.9ghz
Sapphire HD OC 5970

Very similar from me - I use a 4870X2 and after installing 10.7 (same with 10.6) fps dropped on any resolution to 10-15fps on BC2 - unplayable.

Rolled back to 10.5 and 1920x1200 with full detail, 8xFSAA 16XAniso runs at 60fps plus.

Go figure

E8400 @ Stock
4870X2
4GB DDR2

Still no issues for me,btw if you install over the top of old ones like I do then you may want to look in your ATI folder,I had about 8 old versions still there(ie 10.6,10.5 etc...) which I deleted, got almost 1GB back in HD space :).

This doesnt work for me - One card idles at 157/300 the other at 850/1200 (according to EVGA Precision) - Single monitor setup

MSIAB wont let me take the clocks any lower than 640/900

May just go back to 10.4's :|

How to turn off hardware flash acceleration? My overclock is stable on stock voltages 850/1225 but it crashes on YouTube. This really sucks as I was able to run Furmark for several hours playing with clocks with no problems, Unigine Heaven and 3dMark Vantage worked a charm as well!

2D/3D profiles in MSI Afterburner work relatively well but you have to bear in mind that they might mix up the clocks sometimes which causes small but noticeable problems. Not many though and it's much better to have it than live with high idle clocks.

Thank you for a quick reply Raven. Hopefully it will work with all Flash videos from now on.

Did anyone else experience such problems with their overclocks? I had to run my card at 770/1225 to even watch a video...

check in CCC - afterburner shows my other 2 cores at 735/850 (5970 core 2 and 5870) but CCC shows the 2nd and 3rd as 000.

also temps confirm those cores as running with lesser clocks

Quite possibly - CCC has been ****** showing my 2nd GPU clocks for some time :s

BC2 also has noticeable lower FPS for me with 10.7 - gone back to 10.4a and all seems better TBH *touches wood*

Still can't get the CCC to launch with 10.7 or 10.7a. Ideas? Tried reinstalling them a few times now and no joy. The CCC is installed (supposedly) but doesn't start properly with my pc anymore even though its enabled in startup via msconfig lol
