More than happy with the 470's, but i do have another machine that im gonna upgrade, (and it needs it tbh, s939 4000) it currently runs a second hand 8800gt, im gonna buy some old s775 parts and maybe add a new gpu to it.

lol, that is quality, "our usual source failed us", yes another fake roadmap shopped and put on random forum x, y and z is his usual source.

He is so laughably bad, yet probably makes a mint off the traffic he gets for posting purely fictional rubbish constantly.

But why anyone takes the news remotely seriously I don't know.

Even before the "update" he says its 20% faster than a 480gtx, yet slower than a 570gtx, even with poor sources(ie reading a forum) he still can't do simple math 1+1= 348378 according to Fud.

Also, I've been saying for a couple months, final speed of boards anytime up to the one sent out basically in the past week to the big review sites, can really be "anything".

A lot that end up "out there" are for Q&A, driver testing and just so partners can pee around with clock speeds and fan profiles and that kinda simple stuff. It doesn't really matter how fast the card is for those things to happen.

My current feeling though is, a 1536 card should be as fast as a 1920 shader Barts give or take a few percent either way, better efficiency or more limited still on the same bus. If it ends up being a 1920 shader card, Nvidia are utterly boned and the 30-40% better type rumours could easily be accurate.

seriously though my friend works for Sapphire and was 100% correct with his info on the 5870 release and i trust him on this too. But with everything else we will have to wait and see. There is only one person on this forum who knows 100% and thats Gibbo as he has been testing one all week.

If only you actually knew what personal attacks were. I love how you claimed to have been "savaged" in a thread, when in reality it was just some one disagreeing with you.
 
Well sometimes around here its a bit difficult to remember which threads people were merely disagreeing with an opinion and which people were being obnoxious.
 
You may not be able to remember looking back, but it doesn't mean you don't massively over react. Loads of people know what you're like around here. You'll often make claims that you say you can back up, but won't, then when enough people are pressuring you to back it up, you start playing the victim.

For the most part though, people are very rarely "obnoxious" to you, yet you still whinge about how badly you're getting treated. I called you "Rroffle" for one of your claims, that you wouldn't back up (despite claiming to have proof) and you had a whinge about how that was also a "personal attack". :rolleyes:

Let's talk about graphics cards rather than each other.

The latest fudzilla stuff /re the 6950 looks interesting - though fits in with the whole lower shader count 'rumours' we've already seen.
 
Fudzilla is reporting that the 6950 will have 1408 stream processors (i.e. 22 SIMDs each with 16 4D clusters). They are also reporting that the clockspeed for the 6950 will be 800Mhz

Or they can't be bothered posting BS because of the lack of reliable info as has been suggested by DM earlier. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

That seems a little like wishful thinking. It seems odd that all their inside sources would have suddenly dried up... SA have had plenty to say about pre-release AMD products in the past (and if it came from the pen of Charlie, it was all positive and laden with a few anti-nvidia digs :p).

Maybe there isn't anything good to say about new cards. Maybe Gibbo lied and the cards aren't that good value. Maybe I don't care because I'm doing some reading up on Common Law and I couldn't find it less interesting? Dunno.
