**ATI RADEON 7800 SERIES NOW AVAILABLE!!**

I love the way you all think you should be able to to still get the same product you got over 2 years ago for the same price! LOL, so naive.

simple question, why is that incorrect? in the age of digital advancements where technology is getting smaller and smaller and cheaper to produce, why shouldn't people at the very least be be able to get the same product they did 2 years ago?

if you believe we should be paying more for the same performance, 24 months later, then it's you who is being naive.

but...look at it :*(

These prices are far too much. I was hoping to upgrade this gen as i skipped the last and looking at it i might as well just stay where i am as i prefer not to go over the £200 mark. I was also hoping the 7850 would be ideal for my brother switching from a 260gtx but as he doesn't like to spend over £150 we're struggling on choices for him too. Yeah sure something like a 6870 would be a step up but hardly of the magnitude we was hoping for after letting the graphics card market move on for 2+ years. We need Gibbo to start working some of his magic and bringing in deals for 6970s and 6950s like he did with the old 5850 not so long ago.

I think the 7850 is the best of the bunch for price/performance ratio.

7850 seems to be on par with the 480/570 and better than the old 5870 (which was the best card released in the last 3 years, single gpu)

My opinion.

I have to admit, if you get an HD7870 to 1200MHz you're looking at HD7950 performance, maybe even a bit more depending on what you play.

Yes yes, I know it's hardly fair to compare an overclocked card to a stock one but the HD7870 is a good £70 cheaper.
