What VDDCI Voltage are you guys using?

Im still at the stock 1.487V and I cant pass more than 805mhz on mem :(

Conc

Edit: 1.5V on VDDCI and I have 810mhz @ 2.130V!!!

666/1622 lol

Is your card an XT or XTX? 1.5V gives me 877Mhz on the memory, the XTX's memory tends to clock higher.

I just got my 1900XT Crossfire today and it seems a little hot to me. I'm using ATI Tool and right now it's idling at 67c and when I'm playing games, it'll easily go into 90s/100s. That's at stock speeds with the VGPU at 1.4v.

That's a bit hot, mine idles at 48C and get to 75C at load. Are your case temps a bit high, maybe a but more air flow?

Been messing about with the fan settings and it's idling at 48 now and tops out in the 80s when gaming. It's surprising what a 10% increase in fan speeds can do. I need to replace my case fans though, they're not spinning properly.

Some one may have asked this already. Everytime I set the clocks via ATiTool and then run 3dmark05 it doesnt keep the settings. I abort the test and look back at ATiTool and its set the clocks down to 399/500?!

I don't think you can use ATITool to overclock your Nvidia GFX card.

Main Features

* No limits overclocking.
* Finding maximum core and memory overclock by rendering into a Direct3D window and scanning the output for visual artifacts.
* Temperature monitoring and fan speed control (on supported cards)
* Removal of Catalyst overclocking lock for 9000/9200/9550/9600 series.
* Artifact scanning mode for non-ATI cards - use together with a 3rd party overclocking utility.
* Loading a predefined clock profile on Application/Windows startup.
* Hotkeys that can be used any time to load clocks from a profile.
* 3D application detection (Direct3D 8, Direct3D 9, OpenGL) to overclock your video card only when required.
* Gamma control

ATITool will only work on Windows 2000/XP/2003 (64 bit versions are supported).

Hehe, didn't see that.

Have you made another profile and then clicked the set clock button? My settings stick, I'm just a bit worried about running the VGPU at 1.35v 24/7. I think I'm just gonna keep switching between profiles when I'm not gaming.

Yep create new profile. set volts to 1.4 save to profile. Set clocks to 650 775 hit the set clocks button save em to the profile run 3dmark05. Hit esc and abort look at ATitool and its set the clocks to 399/500 :(

?? On what card?

Both GPUs are fine up to 1.45V if you keep them at a sane temp, Under 70C.

I've found VDDCI really helps memory overclocking, both in terms of running the mem on lower volts and actually overclocking it.

Re: ATITool not remembering settings - there is now a known issue with CCC 6.4 that means it forces clocks in some situations, even with the ATI Service disabled. Have a look at the ATITool beta forums.

Re: Vreg temperature - do people find this affects memory clock stability or core stability? I'm running really high voltages (see sig), and even with a fan pointed at the Vreg sink, I'm getting ~65 - 70'C.

got my 1900xt running at 711,801, with only the core clocked to 1.425. its only going to 70c max with my Artic Cooling Accelero X2.

Can i push the volts up more? is there any point upping the memory volts?

Also do you lot turn VPU recovery mode off?

Any help would be great
Cheers
Puck

I'm using the CATs 6.5 beta.

Puck, when Windows boots up, do you sometimes get a little window come up asking you if you want to VPU recover? It's something like that anyway, I must have got it about five times already today.
