Audi owners in here!

My best on the rollers was 387 I think and that was better than most. Carbon build up is a real problem, never felt really fast but that is more because of how it delivered it's power and put it onto the road. When I was testing CSL's a few months back they felt so much quicker but I know having run with a few on the road across country they simply aren't.

Mine was much the same with a baseline of 390.

Was your car ever mapped?

The map really made a difference with the removal of the throttle restriction in the first 3 gears over the stock RS's I test drove.

No mine was standard. Reminds me of when some American idiot pitched up on this forum, he must have seen my post from a Google and tried to tell me, using American speak, how I was an idiot because of the first 3 gear power map, though he went quiet when I said the rollers were run in 4th. American petrol heads, odd lot. :D

I vaguely remember reading that lol, think it was Arthur who still knocks about RS246.

He was a big sceptic on the whole carbon build-up causing power loss, and use to fill pages up with his mathematical equations trying to disprove it!

He was a classic internet mustberight'er, blinkered, ignorant and in this case wrong, so reverted to silly abuse and posting up those pictures with words on and being American very loud and self assured...but still wrong. :D

I also remember some people on PH trying to suggest there was no proof of Carbon buildup and was an urban myth, which I also took great pleasure wading into with, er, experience of carbon build up and one of the highest mileage B7 RS4's on the planet :D

Posted in Show me thread but thought I would post here also:

Does anyone know if these alloy wheels are subject to corrosion/flaking? One of my once mint alloy wheel has flaked and corroding out of no where!

the Lacquer (if thats what it was) used to flake on mine also. Terrible After a few years (and no treatment) they started ot pit unfortunatley.

I looked into getting mine refurbed at a local specialist for about £60 per wheel.

mine are in pretty bad shape, especially after i sprayed wheel cleaner on them once and left it on far too long :(

Yep, one of the ones at the back of mine has gone. Mine are the RS6 alloys, so the finish must be equally as bad on them all.

Think I am going to get wheels booked in for refurb, very strange how the 3 that seemed perfect when I bought the car have all started to corrode and flake very badly where the 1 wheel that was refurbished when I bought it is spot on!

Another thing I found out today I have a multi CD changer! It is in the head unit itself, may not be very exciting for some, but when I have been used to Ipod connectivity this is great news until I sort this out in the car!

Why would you bother with Cd's with ipod connectivity lol. I have yet to insert a Cd into my changer!

Some gorgeous cars here, but i'm sorry guys, RenoRanes007 absolutely wins the thread.

Epic, epic car. :D

Really like the A4 S-Lines, great looking cars :D

Absolutely love mine! The Multitronic makes such a lazy drive, but it is fun with the paddle shifts. Didn't buy this for a B road rocketship though.

The difference coming from a Punto is unreal, love not having any creaks or rattles :D

I was thoroughly impressed by a B8 A4 2.0 TFSI "Black Edition" that I drove a few days ago. Fantastic engine.
