Audi owners in here!

Guys can you give me a rough idea on how much car is worth please:

Audi A4 S-Line
56 reg
Auto
87k miles
2.0 tdi 140

Pretty standard spec no leather or nav.

Due to getting the bigger car for missus my mileage has dropped to around 10k per year, do you think it may be possible for a straight swap into a petrol??

Thanks

Not my photos but the S1 is now making the rounds at various dealers. Quite like the facelift more now. Some nice interior details...

How long is my radio likely to last before it needs to be recoded if i disconnect the battery?
I have an audi concert 2 radio (like this). I dont have the book for it so i dont know the code but i need to remove the alternator to fit a new thermostat and i'd rather disconnect the battery for this.
Is the code likely to be instantly lost as soon as i disconnect the battery? or would i get a little bit of time?

If i do need to recode the radio, i have seen posts saying that the code is the last 4 digits of the serial number. Is this correct? (seems unlikely to me?)

What car do you have? I didn't disconnect my battery when I removed my alternator but I did remove it carefully and wrap it with thick insulating tape.

On the S3 the thermostat is right behind the alternator and under the inlet, pain of a job!

It's the same with any metallic colour . From a distance it looks a flat colour but get close and it gleams.

Both my old Focus, Candy Red, and my current A3, Daytona Grey, only look that way when the sun isn't out. When it is, or it's under certain lighting, it gleams.

Still absolutely hate the a1 interior, or more specifically the console but I'd really quite like a shot of the s1, has the potential to be entertaining.

If it lost the quad exhausts it'd look better outside, but those aside I don't mind what they've done with it exterior wise

Then that is where we differ. I like the A1 interior, everything is laid out just where you want it and prefer it more than any other 'super mini'...inc Fabia/Polo/Fiesta.

Someone on the forum managed to get a test drive of the S1. See below:

Just test drove an S1 at derby audi today, my oh my what a car that is. The power is unreal, even though the s3 has more power which I've also drove the s1 just feels so nippy and agile because it's obviously a bit lighter.

I've fell in love, going for a second test drive on Saturday and ordering one! Can't wait!

I only managed to have a quick blast around the corner tonight the traffic was horrendous, but even still you could tell it was an animal.

When I go on Saturday for a proper drive in it,i'll film the sound for you. The sales guy drives an s3 and even he says the s1 feels extremely quick and similar even though it has 70bhp less.

They've made very small subtle changes to the s1 they all look great, also one thing I did note is the needle sweep is standard on the s1 which is a cool feature

I think the rear end of the A1/S1 is dreadful.

I've only owned my A3 for a few months but I already want to upgrade to an S3. Never owned an Audi before this and the build quality, interior and ride are excellent.

Haha same, had a A4 2.0 TDI S-Line has a company car and loved it (much more than the 3 series I had). Now have a A3 2.0 TFSI S-Line and love it, really want an S3 or S4 next!

I still wonder why they made the S1, they seem to have a lot of cross over with other models (A3 saloon, A4/A5 etc)

Lovely colour, but why didnt you spec the xenons and LED DRLS? The A4 without them looks so plain jane.

Simple answer.... I got £7000 off the list price because someone had ordered this one and then couldn't come up with the dosh!

Probably because it's a company car and options add significantly to the monthly cost.

No it's not a company car... paid in full and all mine :D

Fair enough. That more than makes up for it, im guessing its the 177ps engine?

Also makes sense, but if i were going for one as a CC i'd add the xenons as an option, they make driving much nicer in the night time, and they only add £500 or so over the 3 or 4 years you have the car.

Yes it is the 177 engine. Plenty powerful enough for me and its a dream to drive.

Can xenons be retro fitted?
