Audi owners in here!

They can be, but it isnt cheap, even if you source 2nd hand front and rear lights,i still reckon you'd be looking at best part of 1k.

Is that just the fronts? i think they will need to be coded using VCDS. The LED rears are worth looking for too.

Then that is where we differ. I like the A1 interior, everything is laid out just where you want it and prefer it more than any other 'super mini'...inc Fabia/Polo/Fiesta.

I suppose I understand, it at least uses slightly nicer materials than the Fabia/Polo with some circular vents but it's the same basic design and layout - I just don't get on with the way it looks. Fiesta is worse though, someone melted a transformers face

The first thoughts you posted are interesting, though sounds like he/she never really had much time to actually drive the thing so may have given it a bit much of a rave review considering!

It should feel plenty quick given its size and the power on offer. If it's got the right gearing it could really feel a rapid little thing and it's the right size to be chuckable, though quattro tends to dull most of the S cars down a bit in general and I've never thought the A1 anything more than adequate in the handling department with fwd. The system almost gives too secure a feeling (even though the rears get little power most of the time), though ultimately that's a good thing I guess. The S3 just about gets away with it though, so it's entirely possible the little S1 will too

Audi are at it again :D

525bhp A3 Clubsport Quattro concept

http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/audi-a3-clubsport-quattro-concept-worthersee-meeting-2014-05-15

And as per The Rules, Audi has built something special to rewards its fans. The MQB-platformed A3 saloon gets that 2.5-litre five-pot - the 2010 International Engine of the Year, no less - tuned to produce 525bhp and a whopping torque figure of 443lb ft.

It's been upgraded with a bigger turbocharger capable of 1.5 bar of boost pressure, together with a modified intercooler and other unlisted ‘extensive modifications' that, if they prevent this thing grenading itself at the redline, must be extensive indeed.

Because 0-62mph takes just 3.6 seconds (making it quicker than an RS6), and it'll top out at 193mph. That's... bloody fast.

Looks fantastic. However I doubt the finished article will come with that much power.

Thats enough power to molest some of Audi's big RS cars.

Why do you say that? I have no doubts about it :D
The A1 Clubsport Quattro was 500hp. It's only a show off, not a full production car, unfortunately.

Well the GF's MK1 TT is costing yet more money. A couple of months back had the diff re-sealed to stop a leak, plus a pipe to the headlight washer went. It was also time for a service and the cambelt, plus had the haldex oil filter and change done while in for the coil pack recall.

Then two weeks back it started overheating. A temp sensor change didn't fix it, turns out the thermostat had gone. Not only that, but both fans needed changing, plus the electric water pump, and new tyres >.<

I'm hoping that will be it for a while now!

My brother is looking at an RS4 for his next car (currently has the RS3) but damn that A3 Clubsport looks a way better option and I keep telling him he doesn't need a big estate.

Anyone have any contacts at Audi if he wanted to try and get on the list for one if its a limited run or best to try and go through our local Audi dealership?

It'll be for the show, they won't do a proper production run unfortunately.
