Agreed. You have to wait, but you get exactly what you want, as well as the new car smell.
Oh, and I wouldn't dismiss the adaptive cruise and lane assist options too eagerly. Yeah, an RS3 "wants" to be driven, but you're not going to be hooning it all the time. Sometimes all you'll be doing is chewing up miles on a motorway, in which case it'll be a godsend. And presumably you can switch it off when you don't want it. I actually regret not getting it on my S3.
