Audi owners in here!

I'd be looking out for it not being utter bargain basement spec like most S Lines were of that age.

No MMI = why bother.

Nothing major or common failure wise though.

Doesn't the MMI come in different levels, like with or without sat nav, I don't think I have ever seen an s-line with sat nav. well not on auto trader but I guess that's the problem.

No, MMI in the B8 always had nav. Anyone who claims they have MMI in a B8 without nav actually just has the standard (terrible) system.

There are various versions of MMI with Nav though, both an SD and an HDD based system, and the HDD based system (MMI 3GPlus) had the option of Google maps integration.

Try and get caught up in traffic, many B8 owners get juddering when setting off in first gear (mine does this and annoys hell out of me).

Other than that - mines been a good car.

Known issue on the S-tronic of that sort of era (particularly on the TTS) is judder at low speed, slow to engage clutch when pulling away - usually is a complete replacement of the gearbox to solve.

So my A3 has done about 13/14k (33/34k total) miles since its first service and it's just given me a low oil warning.

I've checked and there isn't even enough oil to mark the dip stick.

I'm right in thinking this isn't normal oil use?

You done 13k miles without checking the oil level?

Brave.

Anything up to 1l per 1000 miles is considered normal - I wouldn't, but I'm pretty sure that's what Audi state.

I did 36,000 miles in my A4 without checking the oil. There's no dipstick, you HAD to wait for the car to tell you if something was wrong.

Same was true of my A6.

How many miles since?

Doesn't sound right - any sign of oil drips under the car where it's parked?
There is drips of oil on the bonnet and engine cover and what looks like a burn mark on the engine cover.

I've called out Audi Assist and it is going into the dealers today. There also appears to be a tensioner or belt loose making a rattle in the engine bay.
