Audi owners in here!

The new Q3 isn't open for orders yet is it? I thought it was still at the "we've announced it, but you can't buy it" stage?
I see. I'm not sure. I sat in a new one at the Audi dealer today so don't know whether that's the old or new model then. It seemed newer inside than the A3 also in the showroom.

I test drove the Q3 1.4 Black Edition today. It was a little slow compared to my old GTI but otherwise a nice car to be in, with quite a few extras. It was indeed the outgoing model. For the right discount i could be interested. But it would have to be a decent discount.

I am test driving a Skoda Kodiaq tomorrow. My wife isn't keen on it because it's a bit large. But from sitting in it today the interior was seriously impressive. The alcantara sport seats were to die for.

Forget the Q3, when you sit in a kodiaq or a tiguan the interior is so much better. Look at the tiguan as well the interior is a little nicer than the kodiaq and the SEL comes loaded with standard kit

The alcantara sport seats were to die for.

I am not sure how long they last, but they are the best combo possible, assuming they were the alcantara and half leather.
This is what I have in the TT, cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter than leather. Lovely feel as well.

Only thing to watch is they can be grippy against certain materials, no word of a lie I nearly lost my shorts one day in the summer, went to slide out and they were sort of "sticking" to the alcantara!

I test drove the Kodiaq today. Well that has set the cat amongst the pigeons. I did like the Q3 yesterday and appreciate the two cars are quite different (small SUV petrol manual vs large SUV diesel dsg). But the Kodiaq was better than the Q3 in almost every way. I was quite happy sitting in the Q3 but had a smile on my face in the Kodiaq.

Sadly it probably is a bit too large so I may see what the new Q3 brings to the table instead. I will also look at a few other brands too.

Sorry which one has she had? Kodiaq, X1 or Q3?

Sorry X1s

The new X1 feels bigger, based on a new chassis

But TBH I always felt a lot of the criticism of the old X1 was OTT by car reviewers etc. I am sure they would complain the tardis is a bit small if it became the concensus ;)

I assume the new Q3 will have the VC. Its a segment I dont follow that closely, but would make sense

Think I may have an issue with my new A4 (unless they are all like it).

Basically when I'm cruising down the motorway with all the windows up, it sounds like the windows are about 1mm off from being fully shut. I hear the draft noise, but can't feel anything.

anyone have the same?

Look at the volvo XC40 as well maybe or perhaps the BMW X2. The X2 reviews have it as having an unnecessarily hard ride though even with adaptive suspension fitted
