Audi owners in here!

While I was originally looking for an SUV I think I've discounted them now. I liked the Q3 but after a couple of test drives it was a bit wallowy in corners, there is a new model incoming and it doesn't really offer much (any?) extra space over the A3/Golf/etc. It looks great but because it's small it doesn't really have many of the advantages of a larger SUV. Unfortunately my wife point blank refuses to consider anything larger otherwise I'd just get the Skoda Kodiaq which impressed me hugely. It's a family car that she will have to drive occasionally to collect our son from sports fixtures. So if she can't/won't drive it then it's pointless buying it.

So I'm now looking at family hatchbacks again and the A3 is naturally in contention along with a few others.

Is there anything I should be cautious of with the A3, such as an imminent refresh or particular options which are highly recommended?

If you are looking at relatively new ones look for one with virtual cockpit and tech pack. The interior is still the best in the segment and I don't think there is a new one due for a couple of years as there was recently a facelift/refresh

Does anyone here know how I get my Q5 sat nav to say Hastings properly It comes out with Heistings.
Not necessarily a huge issue but I live just outside Hastings
Andi.

It's a text to speech engine it's never going to get every place name spot on. Why does it even matter?

It'll probably be because it's been abbreviated on the map. Google Maps Says Soton Docks instead of Southampton Docks because it's abbreviated to So'ton.
Not sure but I think that wouldn't that explain that at one roundabout it will say gt yarmouth, then at another great yarmouth, but randomly when on the a143 and the a146. It does appear to be more about the signage as if it could be reading them...

Ok, so my 2017 A4 2.0l TFSI 190ps now has now a tuning box, care of DTUK, and I also have had a TCU tune delivered today, also from them but not advertised, just to try. The increase to 250ps and 400Nm of torque the tuning box gives makes life more interesting and gives some very nice acceleration. Plus now I can easily get over 50mpg, as indicated on the DIS, cruising on 'A' roads and my urban mpg also seems to improved. I will use the TCU tune over this week to see if there are benefits but I am hoping that it's a positive combination.

Seriously interested in hearing more about this! How does it cope with the extra power with only being FWD? I assume the engine can breeze 250 as it's that in the quatrro, but wondering if Audi did this because of the FWD limitations.

Quite disappointed with an Audi dealer. I found a car I was definitely interested in. They couldn't make it available to view until early next week. So i arranged that they would call me as soon as the car was available and I would drive down the several hours to see it. I ran through the spec, price, possible finance options, etc, and was very serious about the car.

A few hours later the sales manager had someone else call me to tell me they are putting the price of the car up more than £1k, due apparently to short supply, and if I wanted it at the old price I would have to put a deposit down unseen.

Bunch of chancers! I told them if they put the price up I won't view it on principle as it feels like they are trying to pressure me into a sale. So I guess I wont be buying that one then.

Any updates on this?
