AUNE T1 (MK1 + MK2) discussion

This is what the advanced tab looks like with the Mk1 in Windows 8.1

I only get the option of 16 or 32bit with my MK2 on windows 8. Obv the MK1 only goes up to 24bit.

Need a longer usb cable. Is it a special one or something as i tried an extension but that wouldnt work?

I wouldn't extend the USB but by an extension for your headphone instead, best to keep the USB as short as possible.

USB degrades over distance quite badly or something like that (the timings get messed up and errors are produced).

Use the stock USB cable only into the back of a PC.

Buy a monoprice, kenable or kabeldirekt extension lead for your headphones

Well I want the amp at the other end of my desk to my tower. It reaches now but is abit tight. Only needs to be say 50cm longer than now. Would that really make any difference?

I don't know but if you were to buy another USB cable make sure it's a decent one. Not too expensive but not a cheap £1 one either, just a decent enough cheap one.

Preferably though stick with the stock cable, re-arrange the desk/setup and use a longer headphone cable is best IMO.

I don't know who makes decent cheap USB cables, so you will need to do your own research there, I'm sure kenable do them I imagine.

Ok well screen is centre of desk so have to have Tower one end and Audio gear other. Ordered a 2m Lindy Chromo Premuim one for a tenner. If thats not good I dunno what will be.

My tube storage box.

Maybe sell a spare rocket and get another 1 or 2. Bugle boy or orange globe if I have some spare cash but trying to save for a car and maybe update my amp in living room so not high on my list really.

used, not NOS, so the amount of time left on them is unknown. They sound fantastic though, lovely smooth vocals and good bass and I have a spare for when the first one wears out.

Bought a clear plastic box in Home Bargains today for the princely sum of £2.50. It has 21 small partitions that can hold two valves each, which will be useful for when I get a tube amp that uses pairs. So I've finally got my tubes stored properly, now I just have to find somewhere to put the box. :D
