God those halos are so mismatched to to the rest of the car, most ugly thing in decades and there's been some ugly cars and parts in that time.

Still F1 is back.

It always amazes me when F1 drivers make such basic mistakes.
 
Anyone catch the senior team press conference? Bit of a **** show, with feed going down a lot, some idiots' phone ringing for ages twice (it's a press conference for goodness sake), and the slapstick Ferrari vs Red Bull, with Mercedes getting splinters up on the fence. Very entertaining however:

Would have been perfect. Hopefully a future addition - can then watch the whole race from this camera and hopefully see little of the halo :p

I wonder how long it will be until the halo itself causes an injury.

There's a 360 degree camera which sits on top, just behind where the front suspension mounts are. It's tilted and looks terrible though:

The HALO has also ruined any chance of F1 having the in-helmet cameras that Indycar has, as seeing past the HALO relies on stereoscopic vision, which a camera obviously cannot recreate.
 
Quite interesting, I found Martin Brundles comment, that out on track during FOR that the halo didn't look so bad. It make me wonder if it is an angle thing, that at ground level it isn't that bad, but at the TV's camera level, or probably anyone sitting in the grandstands, we are seeing it at the worst possible angle.
Of course it doesn't help that said angle is how 99% of viewers watch F1.

Interested to hear other people's views on the size of the laptimes displayed in the 20 car listing on the left hand side and then the individual times at the bottom.
My opinion the side bar is too small and the bottom times too large.
