Austrian Grand Prix 2014, Spielberg - Race 8/19

It's ridiculous to suggest they'd carefully sabotage pitstops by such a slim margin to favour one driver, given the number of human mechanics involved.

Next you'll be suggesting RBR are fitting all the bad parts to Vettels car on purpose.

Put the tinfoil hats away.

Every single pitstop just about? Slim margins win or lose races. If they are not deliberately doing it then they really need to sort it out.

Ted said on the post-race that Hamilton was too far in to the box on his first pit stop so the mechanics had to move over a bit and on the second one he had damage to the 'cake tin' which goes around the brake assembly so they had to be careful putting the wheel on.

That's why his pit stops were longer.

I don't believe it's possible to engineer in such a slim margin to a pitstop. We're not in the 80s realm of 14-15 second pitstops, blink a couple of times and you'll miss about 20 human beings changing 4 tyres. Human beings being the important bit.

Is that the first time Rosberg has beaten Lewis in a straight (ish) fight?

Hopefully Lewis can up his game, as it doesn't look like Rosberg is going to falter any time soon.

Next time F1 cars are on track ill be there :D

Nico is driving very consistently, he has had luck that both DNF's are Lewis's and that without them Lewis would be leading the championship.

Lewis was the fastest driver today, he came from 9th, he had two slow pit stops. Always on the back foot but somehow was pushing Nico all the way.

Still fair play to Nico.

Also I don't think Button will be at Mclaren next year, if he is it will be a one year contract imo.

Love it, people will find any excuse as to why their driver didn't win. As though a team of British guys would engineer hamiltons stops because the team is german owned. The team is far more British than it is German and each half of the garage will have their own inter team rivalry. Who exactly walks round and tells them to hamper his stops? It would be leaked faster than it takes for Mclaren to photocopy a rivals blueprints.

It's a team sport, again this isn't team hamilton. His mechs did a worse job, in a team sport. Practice.

Given Jenson's age I'm pretty sure it would be a one year contract... who do you think would join Mclaren if his contract wasn't renewed?

Regarding Hamilton - all of his fans say if it wasn't for his 2 DNFS he'd be leading the championship as though it's fact.

That's quite arrogant is it not? Who is to say he definitely would have won those races or collected good points even without his DNFs? Probability by virtue of reason cannot be considered fact.
