**Baddass' Ultimate TFT FAQ and Reviews! (20" and Above Models)**

Nice one badass, this is excellent, is there any reason why you haven't mentioned the Neovo screens? Does anyone know anything about the quality of these? As far as the looks are concerned I rate then above the others. TIA

Not to worry needed one asap so ordered the 17inch for a good price! As I'm not a gamer I'm sure it'll be superb.:)

hehe, im glad its helped a lot of ppl. You def wont regret buying one im sure!!

It arrived and its superb!! Would reccomend the change from CRT to TFT to anyone. If anyone has any good tips or if indeed there are any for optimising a PC with 9800 pro that used to have CRT over to TFT that would be good. I mean do I need to tell the PC or GFX card that the monitors changed etc or does it just know the score? :D

Do you like the design?

Yes I do it matches my setup nicely, modern looking and black n silver. The legs are the bit I like least but I am probably gonna mount it on the wall (if I can work out a way of hiding the cable that does not involve plastering  ) so I am not that botherd by that.

:) It was an Ikea (Can I say that on here :p ) desk that goes round a corner (it comes in 2 parts) or you can have it straight. Quite old though m8 so may not have it anymore, maybe even 4 years  . Suits me well though and cost about £150 (cant really remember so dont quote me :) )

Yeah the thing is my speakers are gone now cos I plugged me PC into the home cinema system. So loads of desk space, maybe I will go back to my CRT  just kidding!!

guys just ordered the Hitachi from the ocuk site, going by most reviews its pretty good with the best of them but as there is no direct test with the others apart from the liyama (photos) on toms guide which was tested last year is it still a good choice for games?

My girlfriend has a philips which i assume is crap i ran EVE online and call of duty on it and noticed no ghosting or bad affects it was a C170c4? anyways is the hitachi ive ordered a better choice over the hercules or should i re-order the hercules over the hitachi i dont want to end up with a crappy tft.

Many thx UltrA

;)

P.s guys can you tell me as ive never had a tft what is dead pixels and how can i tell if my new one is or has just that???
many thx UltA

Well when I went for the Hercules after reading all the reviews I could find I must say my impression was that the Herc and the other makes that use the same screen (not sure of there names now) were the best for games and had taken over from the Hitachi that was the daddy before, but I have only had this one TFT so maybe someone with more idea can let you know about that. Dead pixels are pixels that dont do anything, for example if you were looking at a Black wall in a game, one of the pixels may appear white and if you looked at this pixel it would be white all the time. Luckily I did not get any :D but some people are not so lucky. I think different makes have different rules about returning screens due to dead pixels. Some need to have 3 to be returned and some more etc.

cool a TFT screen thread, i'm looking at buying two TFT screens for my computer but i need it for games, 3D modelling etc... I'm looking at the CTX S730 and the Hercules Prophetview 920 Pro. Obviously i'd be buying 2 the same ;)

The CTX has 16ms response time but i can't find a single review on them :S but i'm tempted as i have a CTX EX710F crt at the moment and thats an awsome monitor.

any advise would be great :)
