Bahrain GP 2009 - Race 4/17

Cos they will be used as a scapegoat when the BGP no longer exists - everyone is distancing themselves away from the BGP and what is happening with it...

I still dont get why Silverstone couldnt have got plans and development sorted as per BE requested - its his job to get the best venues so I can completely understand where hes coming from - unfortuantely though the money required isnt forthcoming and in this current climate no miracle will happen...

Why should the government personally fund Bernie's already vast fortune?
Bernie takes a 50% cut of revenues that F1 generates, that is a silly figure.
He deserves 10% AT BEST.

LOL. You're really comparing the current "lying" scandal with the stunts Schumacher sometimes pulled? Give me a break!

Besides, peoples' memory is selective. Senna was a seriously dirty driver at times yet the mere suggestion of this to many will cause total outrage.
Of course I can (and I wasnt referring to lie-gate specifically, it one amongst other things) because its my opinion  - Im pretty sure that in Schumachers first 3 seasons he didnt get into as many issues as Hamilton 'accidently' finds himself in - his PR is great but his isnt Daz white anymore where people still give him the benefit of the doubt...

Proper F1 fans would agree regards Senna as well...

I didnt say they should (in fact I think they shouldnt) - its just naive to think that a shrewd businessman like BE is going to do anything that doesnt mean profit as that what F1 is. If you really think BE would ever considered reducing his cut you are definitely watching the wrong sport...

Depends whether you go on points or position. Given that the points system has changed I tend to think position is far more important and, in that respect, this year is worse.

Yes, in that respect this year is worse. In the other respect, '81 was worse.

Does it honestly matter? Not in the slightest - it's still a **** start for Ferrari whichever way you slice it :)

Hamilton may have had a few dodgy moments and been the subject of some (questionable) penalties but has he really done anything which ranks up there with Schumacher's deliberately driving into a competitor in an attempt to take the title or stopping on the track in an attempt to prevent his qualifying time being bettered?

Honestly?

Please re-read my statements before you get overly excited - I said he has a slur against his career now which will always tar his achievements, just like Schumacher. I never said what Hamiltons done is in the same league as him...

they do have the same parts (heiki actually turned down the new wing as he didnt like it) and they had the same fuel while qualifying.

Well for the start of the race hamilton had enough fuel for 15.5 laps and Heiki had enough for 25 laps.

To me heiki was used as a fall back. I'm just saying that in response to people saying how poor he was. He is the fall back guy.

Nice dodge :p :D

What I'm saying is that, as the "crimes" are not in the same league, neither will the resultant "slurs" be :)

I agree 2009 is over for ferrari, gone are the days they could run a car round a test track 7 days per week.

Its not over and I cant wait for you to be proved wrong (hopefully in 2 weeks). They still have Schui and they still know how to win World Championships and most importantly just look at Mclaren they were 2.5s a lap off the pace in testing and 4 races in have clawed back at least 1.5s.

Ferrari & Mclaren will be back in the mix, its just a matter of time :D

Theres no guarentee that any new parts are on both cars. Plus they fuelled Heiki heavy for the quallies while giving Hamilton a realistic shot. Basically Heiki was used as a fall guy to cover any bases in case of an irregular race.

They heavily fuelled him in qualifying 2? Really?
Heavily fuelled him after Q2 possibly.

Q2 is on fumes so Heikki would have had the same fuel as Hamilton there.

Heikki was also running an older revision front wing and Hamilton had the new one. They both ran it in practice 1 and 2 and it was their decision which to run with. Hamiton preferred it, Heikki didn't.

Both were running the new interim diffuser design.

As they say its hard to build a reputation but very easy to lose it - I think Hamiltons will always have a chink of questions surrounding his - insignificant though they are - they are still there...

c.f. McLaren of recent years...

Ferrari can surely run their car to their hearts content at their own private track ... end of the day they own the car, so I fail to see how whatever the powers that be can limit Ferrari using their car for say "show" events ... granted it would not be the same chassis as used in races, but another mock-up car?

Yeah but shuey doesnt drive, he just gives crap tyre advice :D

I'm not sure Mclaren have clawed that much back or whether the heat suited them and just didnt suit other cars that are normally quicker than them, like the renault.

I'm not sure Ferrari have the drivers either to help bring them forward without the engineering team of the past. Ones a monkey and the others half interested.

Yeah sorry I forgot they fuelled him after, same effect though they had him carry the fuel and compromised his tyres and race. I think that explains why the gap was so big today. It is about time they got a better driver to push hamilton though.

Brilliant if you support anyone else other than Ferrari. Simply the usual periodic blip in form if you are a Ferrari fan. We're used to this by now :)
ZOMG youre a Ferrari fan!!one1111!

Expect all your opinions to be disregarded from now on ;)

NB: Replace Ferrari with non-Hamilton for same effect :p
