Then you don't understand Formula 1.
Oh please do explain wise Yoda..

I get he got drafted into F1 quicker than anyone else, and was younger than anyone else. That's fine, well done. But his failure in the first 6 years just goes to show that he should have done the time in the lower rankings and slugged it out and learnt how to drive properly and safely. Rather than being elevated above his station because his dad had the right contacts...

Max's failure in his first 6 years.:cry::cry:

You're hilarious. I'm sure it doesn't need explaining how important the car is in comparison to the driver. Deary me.

Just realised that Mags Q2 time was only 2 tenths off Hamilton's Q3 time.

If we assume Lewis is a faster driver than Mags, then the Hass is likely as fast as the Merc or therabouts!

The irony is, if Max had stayed in lower formulae and joined later he may have won the title in his first or second season.

Let’s just hope he’s moved on passed the Crashtappen phase.

I imagine he will be colliding with the Ferrari's quite frequently if how close they are on pace keeps up.

For what it is worth though, i think Max is the difference here. The Ferrari is clearly the fastest car, because i think Max is likely faster than Leclerc and Sainz.

I do not think he faster but he would rather crash than yield position. Hamilton got his elbows out last season and was schooling towards then end until the race was fixed for him to win.

We will have to see how soft or hard the Ferrari drivers are as if he gets his way of pushing people off the track he will win the championship easy.

Verstappen's racecraft is merely braking later than the opponent on the inside and pushing them off the track whilst making no attempt to make the corner. I really hope they clamp down on it this season.

I wouldn’t count on it

Trouble is with these new cars the floor is very exposed.
Even the slightest damage will dramatically effect downforce and lap times.

Pretty certain drivers will be well aware, and not get involved in real close wheel to wheel bumping on corner entry etc.

This is crash we’re talking about here, the arrogant ***** thinks he owns the track and everyone should get out of his way, I really hope someone puts him in his place in turn 1 of lap 1 tomorrow

Reckon he will learn fast, if he bumps someone else, gets some damage on his, then drops right back down the field as everyone goes past.

Very true. He did this far too many times last season.

He is undoubtedly very fast (possibly the fastest on the grid), but his racecraft leaves a lot to be desired.

I don't see why people care. If Max crashes then so be it. We've already seen Sainz and Max tangle at Torro Rosso, and Max and Leclerc tangle.

I couldn't care less if they race hard or crash into each other, it just opens more opportunities for the championships for other teams and drivers.
