Huge reactions from Hamilton watching that replay of Perez spinning.
Indeed with where they are they're probably ecstatic. Really think it'll be only a matter of races before they figure out their best set up and getting lots of racing laps will help. Ham able to follow sainz and perez really close for lap after lap will also benefit them in understanding the concept more as well I suspect.I think that is a win for merc - they need to limit the damage while they catch up - ideally for them they would get a double Ferrari DNF next week; they need Ferrari and RB to take points off each other and not let one team to get too far ahead.
The cheerful anthem of Monaco, followed by the cheerful Italian anthem. Just a happy podium that.
The overtaking was surprisingly uneventful (have they been told to behave?).
The cars can follow more easily, so overtaking does not need to be quite so desperate to make it stick. Seems perfectly logical to me?!
Also with the much stricter track limits they're not going to take chances that may put them over the white line.
It wasn’t that hot really. If they’re struggling here I’d hate to imagine how they’ll cope in Singapore or in Italy were it can be 30+’C.It's not unexpected, first time they properly push the engines for a full race, hot environment. With a power advantage, you can always wind it down a bit and compromise for better reliability over a race whilst still keeping a power advantage.
I hope people do, its getting to toxic stages in here at times
Not only track limits, but everyone was staying well away from most of the kerbs, for fear of damaging the cars.
Other tracks with even harsher taller kerbs will be avoided even more.
A perfectly reasonable interview from Max there.
