Bakers refuse Gay wedding cake - update: Supreme Court rules in favour of Bakers

sadly in northern Ireland folk can't just say 'no'

certain branches of Christianity in Northern Ireland feel the need to shove their rules/beliefs down everyone else's throats and woe betide if you don't kotow or bend to their wants

No, you simply quote them £2500 for the cake and let them decide if they want it or not.

A "go away" quotation is simply an overpriced quote in hope the customer will go elsewhere.

Bloody disgusting.
There are posters in this thread who are on the gay default threads per page instead of the full blooded heterosexual 80 threads per page.
Where will it end?

It has already ended, there was a shift in the last 20 years, homosexuality is now accepted by the Western society and there's no going back. ;)

Why should being gay mean your rights are somehow different?

You mean like the few times I have been refused entry to the gay bars in Belfast? Tolerance seems to be only one way.
I have also been asked to leave G.A.Y in London by fellas there when isaid I was straight.

Thank you!! That's what I was thinking, it's unchristian if you ask me, defaulters rights makes me sick to the stomach, prancing about in skinny jeans hooting that they can't find the option because they're confused by man orientated technicalities, pah!

I was attacked by lesbians and escorted out of a gay club for engaging in hetro intercourse with my gf in the bogs while surrounded by gay folk doing much the same to each other, as the bouncer was politely asking me to leave I shouted ******* gays I'm more tolerant than the lot of you.

I guess the lesbians were jealous on multiple counts.

weird i've been in there a few times with girls.

but you should notice by the door of every GAY theres a notice saying its a private club and the bouncers have the right to refuse entry to people they don't recognize etc.

they've had so much trouble its easier.

also straight guys can be bad for business as they annoy the straight girls who are there to get away from them.

So wait, if Ashers put up a sign like that, they would be automatically exempt?
Sorry that is utter BS, its a bar licenced business.
Funny, I just shrugged my shoulders and went to another bar though.

It is strange to feel like you have to be forced to do something for someone that you don't believe in. I suppose the correct answer would have been not to mention the reason why and just say you are too busy.
