One of my work colleagues in madly into D&D and bought this and loves it. With his knowledge of the whole D&D 5th Edition I have a ready made font of all knowledge. We were talking about it this morning and someone shouted "you two aren't talking about bloody games again are you?". Yes, yes we are.
Got question about the last quest in act 1
Will I miss a ton of stuff if I use the underdark instead of going over land? The shadow and the inn sounds really interesting to me but I'm worried I'll miss out on it and also finding the creche as that seems to be through the mountain pass.

in the goblin camp, i went past everyone to the inside killed all the leaders etc but now i cannot get out as soon as i go outside the entire goblin fort is on me & kill me pretty quick. Maybe i can go through the underdark? but i need to get back to the grove is that possible?
You can just use a way point to teleport out?
Failing that, go to camp and then pick a way point from there.
I just killed them all on the way out tbh

You can fast travel from anywhere, as long as its not hostile, mini map glowing red. You don't need to be at a portal. Press M and on the right select a location to teleport to. I did the same as you and that's how I got out

And that's the reason why I'll probably never buy the game.
I love RPG games but I always need a break after about 30hrs then by the time I'm ready to come back I forget how to do stuff. Also I'm disappointed they reduced the party size to 4.
I take it you used the top entrance? (this is what I did too) I just went back through that entrance, cleared the top then killed everything below with range. Was really easy.

I am a slow and thorough player, most people wont anywhere near as long as me. Also you can up the party limit with a mod ...And that's the reason why I'll probably never buy the game.
Also I'm disappointed they reduced the party size to 4.

Loving this so far, even if I have no idea what I'm doing and constantly find new ways to get destroyed.
Only issue is the gayness being dialled up to 11. Every Male character is constantly flirting and trying to bang me while the Females remain elusive. Game is just like the real world!

Thought the same, but after you deny their initial advances it tones down a bit.
And that's the reason why I'll probably never buy the game.

And that's why I will buy it. I just don't want to pay £50. Especially when I already paid £40 for Starfield Premium edition and £25 for Cyberpunk expansion which are both coming soon.
£35 is the sweet spot for me these days. Might drop to that by Xmas.
nah i went through the main entrance to get to the dungeon i blagged my way in however after killing all the leaders on the way out their no longer friendly
The new Steam Notes feature is pretty handy for jotting down little reminders of what you're doing and how to do things for when you pick the game back up.And that's the reason why I'll probably never buy the game.

did much the same, killed thr leaders walked out into the room with the party and got wrecked. So reloaded and fast traveled out

It's a bit cheeky but you can disengage and go out of combat via the door you exit through, try and kill a few and repeat a few times.

Damn, i haven't been this engrossed in a game since Witcher 3. Long may it continue (still in Act 1).
