Baldur's Gate 3

You need to give traders gold / items for free to up the attitude. Higher gives you discounts and is worth having at least one trader in the green from what I've seen. My go to is to simply slowly give them gold until in the green and then toggle to the Trade mode (off Barter) and click the sell all wares button. Then toggle back into Barter mode and buy things.

I've been keeping some greens for utility etc. The real problem I have is books, that now get transferred into another backpack in camp storage. Don't want to sell them as some contain clues etc. but they do have weight. Not knowing which items can be used for other things in general. Do I need to keep a hammer and tongs in my bag, maybe an apple on the off chance someone asks for one. :D
So I gave some traders free stuff but the attitude doesnt change, maybe its broken for me or maybe I'm being cheap..
edit: so items worth 10g seem to give 1 attitude and scrolls seem to give a lot more but it just didn't seem worth it. I was pouring items into the vendor for a slightly better sale value which didn't make up for the donated items. I would say this mechanic is severely lacking in design or they just haven't finished it.

I've read it's 6g per point for traders. Charisma also effects the price, +3 charisma gives you an additional 20% discount. Items are only refreshed I believe when a character levels up.

I think it would be better if the attitude went up every time you bought/sold to the merchant, dependant on the amount. Rather than just giving them a chunk of gold upfront and then selling things to them to get it back.

I just hit level 5 as a Wizard/Necromancer. Bit annoyed really as i obvs chose a Raise Undead spell so ive got a Companion/Pet (I do already have one but want an undead). Used the spell, and now everyone i get close to runs away and cries/panics. I mean, I get it. Theyre going for realism and consequences etc. But whats the point in the spell at all if youre only raising stuff before a fight (when you need a body to do it too). Am I missing something with this?
Yeah, people dont tend to like folks who make corpses walk and follow them round :D

Make your tank carry a dead body, that way you've got one available. Apparently you can raise multiple dead from one body according to some vids I've watched

Good idea that part. But it costs a spell slot to use. And i dont want to have to keep unsummoning them and resummoning each time im near people or in a town.

Thats actually right where I am now in the Goblin camp. Im a Drow though so had it p easy getting round in there. But the killing them all part is what im doing :p

Ten years to make something completed in a weekend lol. I didn't get rejected by Astarion because I found his voice annoying and killed him.
I'd be interested to see a stat of how many people also killed that squirrel in the first hub you get to

Bonkers to me that anyone would do that but I guess for some people gaming is all about only doing the "main" storyline and doing it as quickly as possible so that they can tell everyone that they finished it. I've not even finished Act 1 yet :D

Yeah agree. I've restarted three times just because. Need to stop or I'll never actually finish it.

I just streamed my pc to my TV and tried playing with a pad. That is going to take a LOT of getting used to. Spent 5 minutes looking for my character sheet :D

Hotfix 3 just been posted, 200 items: mainly act 3 bug fixes plus cinematics with a sprinkling of other fixes

Everyone now gets the Blue Behir die, reading between the lines I get the impression it was meant to be an in game reward for finishing the game .. possibly

I've encountered some new things. The pop up to say if a party member approved of something flashes so quickly I can't see what it was. A few delays in combat where an NPC doesn't t ake any action and nothing happens for about 10-20s.

They have to have skipped a lot of stuff, I think I spent about 40 hours in act 1.

It is when you're stuck on a 1MB/s line with no access to fibre. Baldur's Gate 4 will be out before I've downloaded 3.
at least you'll have something to play while waiting for GB4 :D

but could leave it downloading over niights and days when your off working. if you you know some one that has it and you or them able to meet up then they can share thereinstall either over lan or "backup" and send it to you.
im planning to have a steam storage set up at some point to make things simpler in future.
