Errr no. Come on here to discuss hardware and give people advice, and generate business for OcUK. But don't make negative comments about them or their support, because at the end of the day they pay for the forums - why would they want to pay for people to talk negatively about them.

If you want to discuss Ocuk or their business practices, there's plenty of other forums out there. Just google them and Im sure you'll fine plenty of threads to join in discussion. But here is not the place for it.

But this thread is a minefield of both of the above - i.e. people who think they are just telling the truth, and yet are slating the store left, right and centre. Just the last 3 pages you can see comments about lies being told, or dishonesty, or a plan on OcUk's part to try and flog off TNs as VAs to unsuspecting customers who wouldn't know the difference. So whilst made with good intention, it's against forum policy and posts will soon be deleted or people banned, so you take your chances ....
 
Come on, Kraz, this thread looks bad at the moment but that is how things are. Just think about the next few days. If OCUK come on and send the right monitors out to the new customers as well as those of us who have the wrong one presently, what will this thread look like?

I'll tell - it will be full of praise from everyone who has a really nice monitor on their desks as well as pictures and so on. You know it yourself, the great publicity it will be.

As a matter of fact, I have used OCUK for some years and find them to be a very good and trustworthy company. Despite the problems, I have still encouraged people to consider buying and not to go elsewhere as I am sure the mess will be sorted out soon.

Meanwhile, it would be great to hear from Gibbo about what is going on and when it will be sorted out.

errr excuse me why cant anyone comment on if they have have had poor service form OCuk?

OCuk want to improve their service (i imagine) and to do that they need customer feedback. This whole issue with PVA/TN panels has been a disaster for a few people on here, like myself.

I Returned my 1st TN panel only to recieve another 1! I would call that bad service because after 12 days im still waiting for what i originally ordered. And if i get another TN panel for the 3rd time i will be ******!

Gibbo mentioned a few pages back they seperated the contaminated stock from the rest and people should recieve tn panels but clearly this has not happened.

OCuk need our support, the customer, because it is us that keep them in business. So we deserve to be heard wheather it be positive or negative!

Hi all, I've just joined the forum. I'm seriously thinking about buying one of the va panel L-2442WD monitors. OCUK tell me they have sorted out the stock problem with the wrong monitors getting sent out.

Anyway could someone who has one of these monitors tell me the height of it including the stand when standing on a surface? Ones for sale on Ebay have a different height to the ones from the manufacturers website. I just want to clarify the height of the monitor with someone who has one.

Thanks very much for that. The sizes on the manufacturer site must be for the panel only as it says "Monitor Dimension(W*H*D mm) : 532 x 401.5 x 244 mm".

I understand competitor information info being removed but nothing else. If they don't like what people say they should just ban and leave what is said.

Unlikely, wasnt even anythingt hat bad in that post...why the grin too ? sadistic? Im not sure how you can judge things like that with limited experience of the forums anyway.
 
people have commented on the problems they've had, thats fine imo, when i rang up for a rma i was on the phone for 1, maybe 2 minutes, maxiumum. so thats good customer service, sending out tn panels instead of va is bad ;)

Morally ? There's no morals in that I would think, it's just good business practice (as long as you don't get found out of course).

And I believe Fezster didn't mention anything about a competitor - all I saw from him was a legitimate complaint. That was before the post got deleted of course. Oh well, his fault really - the prat should have realised that a forum funded by a retailer is hardly going to tolerate said retailer being bad-mouthed (!)

And the grin was more tongue-in-cheek than sadistic.
 
Hve you anything to post about monitors? Pretty much all you have said is about other posters. have you tried one of these monitors od are ytou thinking of buying one?
