BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

I have also received my 2nd replacement today, and it is a VA panel!!!! However, there is a dent in the screen so I am returning it again. There is no god.

PS: My box has a tick on it. I'm guessing they have checked through all the boxes and marked the VA panels from the TN.

Ah mate sorry to hear that :(

Well hopefully the tick means just that!

Mine shall be here tomorrow! Handy as my 8800GT arrived today too...

Well, it took 9 days, but they are finally replacing my monitor! Hopefully I'll receive one with viewing angles of similar performance to those of moores28. :)

What's annoying is that they haven't stated a date they will be sending out:

My email said:
"This will be despatched as soon as possible, current stocks allowing".

I find that a little strange since it says "10+ in stock" on the product page...

:(

Maybe they have so many to replace they need to keep it open?

I dunno... but my understanding is that if they have the stock in the warehouse, they should replace it and despatch it as soon as possible. Why would they hold back until more stock arrives...?

LG Premium MVA. Hope it looks good. You can check panels at http://axofiber.no-ip.org/inside/monitor.lcd.panels.en.htm which is a handy site.

I assume that is the best panel to get then?

When you look at the monitor vertically upwards (like these pics: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11221244&postcount=2513), do the colours remain the same (like this: http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/7756/1001823lp0.jpg) or do they invert?

Cheers,
- Tim.
Colours go very slightly lighter if you look above 50* from the centre which is excellent. No inverting of colours so is definitely not TN.

I had the same email, received an email a couple of hours later saying it had been despatched.

Excellent! Can you take a pic?

I guess I must have had a faulty panel or something then, because they (OcUK) said I had a PVA panel - but the viewing angles just did not match up...

Great! However, it's past 5:30 now, so I doubt I'll be getting one until tomorrow (at the earliest).

:)

Sorry about poor quality, lighting in room isn't great so had to use a high (for a compact) ISO to avoid flash. P.s. I did say slight. ;)
