BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

well i got mine today. AND ITS NOT A TN PANEL!!!!!!!!
This one is much better, no glossy screen so i cant see reflections, supreme viewing angles and not as bright as the TN panel. LOVE IT!

i believe OCuk is now looking through each individual box before a replacement is sent out. Mine was opened and had a tick on the box.

Great panel though for £222. I cant stress how much better it is than the TN panel.

Took me 2 weeks to get sorted but now im very pleased :)

Thanks for letting me know. Will give till over the weekend to see if it clears up. Was there anythig you did to expedite it, or just a case of letting the monitor warm in?

No mate just general use had a stuck pixel as well when first turned on but that cleared up as well so he`s happy as im sure you will be after a few days

Yeah I had a big tick on the top of my book too!

I've had a Dell 24" and this thing looks better imo.... need to test ingame tonight *rubs hands together* :D

Mines arrived at home now. I sent back the TN, got a refund for it and meanwhile reordered another so i dont have to wait for them to sort it out.

It has a tick on the top apparently.

I have a HDFury with PS3 and a Goodmans HDMI freeview box as well as a Macbook pro and Macbook to test with it so i'll post up some pics later tonight once i've had a play!

colinuk, if your are at home anyway may as well try now.

can always just send back:)

my 4th monitor comes tomorrow lol

So if i dont like it, i can send it back to OcUK? or have i miss understood that bit lol..

someone give us a quick run down on what to look for if i order one of these screens and what to do if it goes wrong...

love to know if dvd's and blurays work :) you got the gamer edition?

Nope got the normal version, kind wish i did get the gaming edition as its cheaper! but i thought this would be better for use with a HDMI switch box.

If the TN is anything to go by the VGA input looks just as good as the DVI, and im usually pretty picky with VGA vs HDMI!

and not as bright as the TN panel. LOVE IT!

Interesting you say that because when I had the TN panel I felt the whites were too bright - but I put it down to it being such a big screen and so overbearing.

If the *VA panels dont have this problem that will be even better !

Just a quick note. Mines AU-M24OUWO1-V0

Same here :) thanks OCUK!

I seem to be getting 1:1 Pixel mapping as well? Could be my macbook doing that automatically though, it didnt on my TN screen though

Engineer menu still works!

Just hold Menu first, then press +. Then highlight ISP mode and press plus again to show the engineer page ( top left of screen)

then + / - navigates where u are , menu selects it

So thats the one to get? getting confused with so much info flying around lol..

Think ill jump in with both feet and get one, wonder if i will get it by thursday?

Scrap the 1:1 pixel mapping thing, seems my macbook didnt detect the monitor correctly first time i plugged it in and by luck it drew a lower resolution in actual pixels ( black bars around the top/bottom)

It doesnt now :(

Is it just me or are the PVA ones heavier than the TN?

One thing ive noticed though, before when i unplug the monitor the blue light would flash forvever (annoying) Now it flashes for a bit then fully powers down?
