BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

How would I go about doing this accuratly?
Virtual Stopwatch (has a 14 day trial) goes to 3 decimal places (needed for an accurate measure to milliseconds) once you change the time format to D HH:MM:SS:tht-

http://www.springcreeksoftware.com/

There's probably some better software for doing this though, since the fonts are a bit small in this one (even when set to full size). Maybe someone has a link to a better one?

Anyway, you just need to set up your 2 screens in clone mode and then take lots of photos with the exposure set to the minimum and look at the difference in the stopwatches on the two screens (the CRT will be ahead).

got my 4th monitor at last a VA. Not tested it yet but looked in box and packaging had been ripped so they could check.

This was on new order not replacement.

Also finally like to say thanks to overclockers because they have been very good a arranaging delivery etc.

But i would still like to see ocuk do the right thing and email everyone who bought monitor, as people who are not techy and read forums still have right to get what they paid for.

Well done everyone with the new monitors! My RMA (1 a second time 1 first time) is awaiting packing and dispatch so I hope my luck is in, or, better, that the monitors are checked.

Mattdav, I agree with you. An email to say that all important word, 'sorry', would be rather a nice gesture given we have paid and had to wait for a while to get the right thing. After all, the waiting in for the collection and the delivery as well and not getting the use of the monitors is quite something and an apology would be in order I think.

hold your horses, my replacement (went out as a new order) was despatched yesterday and arrived today.

Its a friggin TN again. Shocking viewing angles and glossy screen. I even labelled up my old screen all over it as being a TN panel and to please replace with VA.

OcUK has let me down again.

:(

O dear.... almost hit the buy it now button too...

Any one use it for photoshop? is it anygood with colours for this program?

ColiN - full of questions today lol!

Man - that's got to be annoying. And to think, I was annoyed at having a faulty VA panel, and then received a working VA panel second time. I can't imagine how frustrated you must feel. :(

If it were me, I'd probably drive down there and give them a piece of my mind. I mean, how hard can it be just to check the monitor before they ship it out?! It really makes me think whether they're only sending out VA panels to those who are sending TN panels back demanding a replacement, in an attempt to clear all the contaminated stock. I wonder if you were to RMA & Replace (as opposed to ordering a new one) whether you would've got a VA panel instead...

Absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. OcUK needs to send emails to everyone who bought one and make sure they received a VA panel. I can only imagine the hundreds of people out there thinking they have a decent panel when really it's not what they actually paid for...

it wasnt much of a fair test tbh, think the res was set to 1920x1200 (which the crt shouldnt do but still displayed :O ) and the numbers are hard to makeout :\. and i was rushing :x. might hook the crt up to my pc and try again. havent hookedup my 24" yet :\, thats my dads one, mine has a screw or something floating about inside :S, but perfect screen so i dont wanna rma it :\

Thanks pingu666, but they're all just numbers on a screen to me... :p

(Seriously, they both look the same - how does this aid in figuring out the input lag time?)
