UPDATE on the BACKLIGHT MOD + request for V0-panel owners to confirm:
copied over from http://forum.hardware.fr/hfr/HardwarePeripheriques/Ecrans/unique-iolair-clones-sujet_40947_105.htm
The main problem comes from the built-in power supply unit (PSU): We had noticed two kind of PSU at this moment.
One is what we called V1 version (no related with V0 or V3 LCD display), electronic modification seems to work using an adjustable resistor and a capacitor:

The other is what we called V2 version, electronic modification is harder as it requires the use of Soldering iron to remove a resistance from the PCB:

At this moment, Adoyforum (one electronician in this forum) tried to evaluate a non-intrusive method to know if you've got a V1 or V2 PSU.
We do not know if this method is relevant for all cases, but it seems to give results:
1) Put your screen in stand-by mode (turn off your computer or just turn on your screen without turning on your computer) with its Flashing LED.
2) Remove the electric plug from the outlet or better, use a multiple outletwith an on/off switch, turn off this switch.![]()
3) If your LED is flashing more than 7 times... you have big chance to own a V1 PSU, if less (4 times), it might be a V2 PSU (soldering iron... ).
We do not know if this method is totally correct but it does seem...
Okay, so the most interesting bit here is: could a couple of v0 panel owners indeed confirm the blinking LED so we know that the easy mod PSU board is installed...?
