BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

I'm thinking of upgrading to one of these babies soon, however, my current hardware (and possible even my future hardware) will struggle to game at the native resolution. Is this monitor (or infact any 24") any good at downscaling resolutions to let's say a more humane 1680x1050 or does it get way too blocky?
 
Well mine arrived about 15 minutes ago, all set up, dosent look anywhere near as bad as i thought it was going to, stuck it the corner i actually think it looks quite smart, ive done a check and its one of the quality screens, but i really could tell that as soon as i turned it on.

What a fantastic bargain, and a great service by city link and ocuk to get it from stoke to scotland in about 18 hours.

should i continue laughing and tell him to pass me whatever hes drinking or could he be right??? :confused:

picture quality is pretty similar. the dell is far better built with more inputs. unless you have a problem with input lag and dont mind sacrificing the build quality, dont bother lol
 
Guys,

My screen (DGM) developed the bloody blue line running across the monitor (width). I noticed that some guys had exactly same problem. Who I should contact regarding this? Its still within one year warranty period - Ocuk or Digimate?

Edit - nevermind - just fund it: 3 year on-site collect and return warranty supplied by Manufacturer.

I had to register the monitor at www.digimate.uk using the model number and serial number, then I rang them to raise support call, it was collected by courier following day with a supposed 5-7 working day return, that was from last Thursday, rang Digimate this morning and they hadnt received it so not right impressed, ringing them in the morning again, hope I get a new one and not mine repaired, now had same problem twice :(
If it happens again within a few weeks I'm gonna be asking for a refund
 
Could anybody please tell me how to toggle between auto size and letterbox mode? (I want to see what my Xbox looks like on max res without being stretched to fit)

Going to have to give them another call. Unfortunatley in this case you get what you pay for when it comes to support.

Thats appauling, its either faulty or it aint, if mine is more than 7 working days I'll be taking it further :confused:
 
Got mine this morning, one very happy customer. PVA panel which looks superb. Just need to figure out which way the graphics war is going now and buy a couple of cards to drive it properly.
 
Digimate arranged a courior for mine, originally they had it for 2 weeks, then I gave them a call and they said they had no panels to repair mine with. (Fine give me a new one then!) They said they would be in touch. I have since been on honeymoon for 3 weeks, and expected to come back to it, but nothing has been delivered. I couldn't get hold of them today so will have to try tommorow.

It's appaulling, and it will certainly put me off buying anouther/recommending them as so many seem to develop the same line across the screen fault. At least with the dells you know 9/10 times you will have a replacement next day and not have to be without a screen. Luckily I still have my 2001FP.

Just get hold of them asap and rattle them abit but try not to agitate them ;)

The not having any panels prolly is correct as they seem to be selling a lot of these lol

^ My situation isn't as bad, I'm miffed its the same fault twice now but my monitor was collected free of charge last thursday lunchtime, I had reported it last wednesday morning, although its strange they hadn't received it as of 9am this morning, will be ringing them again in the morning
