BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

can i wall mount this?

This is my Samsung 215 with a VESA 100 wall mount, it should be perfect for this monitor. From what I remember it cost me £19.95 inc postage from a Mount Shop

I just need my Credit card to recharge & I'll have one of these for Chrimbo :D

I'm too classy for black marker :D

either that or i dont see it looking to good, especially not when i do it.

i would possibly prefer it all off anyway- not sure a black marker can totally tame it.

You could either use a black marker or cut a small piece of black tape the same size as the LED so it looks neat. But if you insist on opening your DGM up to disable the light can you have a look at the panel infomation ;)

Iv got a small bit of black insulation tape, cut to the size of the LED, looks picture perfect neat and no light showing through :D yay

I've used those round sticky plastic dots they have on wall planners, you can get them from any office shop. I costs more than using a marker pen but looks a lot better :)

I agree with you on that. in the last few years I have never bought a Monitor without specificly asking Baddass to give me his opinion. I have made 3 or 4 threads regarding what monitor to get and each time Baddass has cleared things up and helped me choose which one to buy.

The amount of time he has given to this forum and each member is unreal.

thanks mate, really appreciate that :)

can someone confirm? I thought it was AR coating, might be quite "shiny" but i don't think it's a glass fronted (a la Xerox range) or true glossy coating is it (like the NEC 20WGX2)?

I had a better look at it under some decent lights, I think it is probably AR, it's hard to tell but It's nowhere near as glossy as my MacBook which is like a mirror in some conditions yet it has some shine to is so I wouldn't call it a matt either. It's definatly not glass fronted, I haven't had any issue's with reflections, the screen surround is glossier than the screen.

Here is a photo I just took so you can see what sort of reflection you get. This is with the display off.

They are available from a well-known auction site.
In the search words put in "vesa stand". You could even wall mount it. Type in "lcd wall". The problem I forsee is that the stand you buy (to replace the one that comes with the monitor) might be just as bad.
Took a look, but couldn't find anything suited, especially because it needs to have the proper height, if you want to use pivot. Any specific vesa stand model in mind, which would fit this monitor?

Little concerned about this wobble.
That stand looks pretty chunky I dont understand how it can wobble.
Are we talking about the actual stand itself flexing?

A wobble video would be good :)

I don't know what OcUK's is but digimate say they are complient with ISO 13406-2, I don't know what it is for the 24" but for a res of 2560x1600 it states that max 6 defects so 1920x1200 should be same or less.

EDIT: sorry its max defects within a 5x5 grid, and 16 for entire screen at 2560x1600 so should definately be less. Although I believe that is for stuck pixels not dead, although if I'm wrong somebody feel free to correct.
