No one was interested until she died, will this just get off the news already. Why does the news have to be so wrapped up in politics, so much more interesting news which could be broadcast.

We colonized a ****load of land around the globe....why go to war over falklands....didn't see the Navy sailing to Hong Kong to try it on with China when they wanted it back

Thats because we had a lease on Hong Kong which expired in 1999.

If you are going to form an opinion on something I don't think it's unreasonable to expect you to at least attempt to educate yourself in the brief circumstances beforehand.

My employer covered all losses it caused it's clients through its hedge fund vehicles in 2008.

Organisations like mine? Sure. The organisation I work for? Pretty much the cleanest out there, by a wide margin. We're not all *******s. :)

You just happened to sneak in the back door, didn't you..

;)

I see BBC Wales new web page have stopped comments being made - I wonder why.

We've not been able to comment on politics @ BBC/Scotland since the referendum started.

It's their job to tell us what to think, silly, not the other way around..

BBC Scotland said:
"we are not in an official referendum campaign and therefore do not have to balance [coverage] out between yes and no"

Why is it?
I was there, I lived it.
The Miners round here even had their own Estates like Colville, Lundy & Newstead and outsiders weren't welcome.

I lived it, My mother worked in Knockshinnoch colliery LINK, she had SIX brothers involved in the Knockshinnoch disaster, three trapped three on rescue team one brother killed in the pit.My father was Assistant Chief Engineer at Highouse Colliery, Auchinleck, we lived in a council house we didn't have a car, he made a fair wage but it is spectacularly wrong to say they made 'millionaires' wages, seriously this is just wrong, it is simply not true, all my friends worked in the pit and NONE got rich. My friends were also active during the strike, subjected to police/state brutality. As an asides it is not forgotten that it was the Nottinghamshire lot who capitulated.

It must be added she fought tooth and nail to keep HK, but China wanted it back.

+1 on educating yourself on matter beforehand
