Batman Arkham Knight - Official Thread!

On the Steam Database you can see Iron Galaxy only got access and started uploading Dev builds 2 months ago.

What backlash did GTA 5 get? I remember it being an amazing port, with over a million of sales on the first day.

2 months for a complete port and to build a decent PC version with testing and QA xD What were they thinking! so essentially 6 weeks from start to finish they had before it was committed to Steam 0.o

It was more aimed at posters on here, I guess you did not read the thread full of bitching from members about the game delay.

Oh yeah, I remember the delay thing. I was always of the opinion that a delay for a better product is best.

I didn't mind the Witcher 3 delay either, honestly it could have done with an extra month as well.

Even if they had much longer, this is a team that's track record is in PS3 and XB360 ports. A 12 man team.

It make you wonder how the people in charge of this outsourcing thought it was a good idea to let them handle a AAA PC release.

I heard they did apps more than anything... :p

It could just be wrong wording but it sounds like we might have to download an entirely different version of the game rather than patch it when the time comes Edit - reading failure

From GMG blog

WBIE also confirmed to us by email that "those customers who have already activated the game will be able to play the game during this time and will automatically be updated to the new version when it is available."

There's also this which answers a question brought up in this thread last night about refunds

You'll be able to get a refund for Premium Edition and Season Pass too if you choose
We'll be sending a list of refunded keys to WBIE for deactivation – so if you've bought the game and ask for a refund, do be aware that your digital key will deactivated soon after.

In terms of timeframe and our previous update, we've not yet received an indication of timing from WBIE. It's likely that once BAK relaunches, our standard returns policy will come into effect, but the best bet is to stay tuned to all of our channels for more info and we'll confirm changes in policy for this title here.

Thanks again for everyone's patience and the support we've received. We'll keep you posted as more info comes in.

@30 FPS? Have you been in the bat mobile yet?

Yes. All smooth, no stutters, hitching or pausing. Helps that I have it running from an SSD I think. Not sure a Mech drive could stream textures fast enough which is what's causing the stuttering I think. That or it's having to shuffle textures into the VRAM because everyone is putting their settings up too high?

How stuff like this hits the market is baffling. It was actually Arkham City that turned me off from ever pre-ordering a game again as by the time it was playable, the £20 I'd splashed was a cruel reminder that it was then available for under £5.
