Batman Arkham Knight - Official Thread!

Caved in and bought it for PC, largely on the back on that big patch (with more to follow).
Had a quick blast and whilst the frame rate was pretty low it was entirely playable. Got a low-mid range PC.
Would be nice if a patch gives a proper boost in performance but I'm happy enough.
Might even get it for my son if he asks nicely enough :)

Just ran the benchmark, not played the game yet and it averaged 58 fps on my 280X. 1900x1200, settings on normal.

Does the performance bomb in game?

Yeah the benchmark seems to be a lie, I can get 60+ fps in the benchmark, it runs at around 10-30 fps in game lol

Really getting into the story now, I'm 50% done but like previous games keep getting sidetracked with the side missions. I still think the car is way overused but in general I'm preferring this to AC. I still think Asylum was the best so far.

Only about 5 hours in so far but I am really enjoying this so far, even if the Batmobile feels a bit overused...

It is a massive shame it is so broken for so many people, when its working its a great game.

Just got 970 back and noticed there was an update for it when steam loaded so thought I'd give it a go. 15fps during the car chase right at the start making it totally unplayable still.

Is there another patch I've missed?

I must say I was astonished at how poorly this game ran on the 15.4 AMD drivers but once I changed to the new 15.6 optimised drivers things improved massively on what is now an aging rig (see sig - [email protected] GPU @ 1050/1375).

did anyone else upgrade to 15.6 and notice a big gain in performance?

I turned down motion blur (mostly using the config file trick) and raised maxfps to 60. did some other things but not sure if they made a difference.

I have now moved all settings up to their highest (except shadows as even though it's playable still get drops and I don't think it adds much for a night based game) and turned on AA -

I was dropping to 15fps on the driivng sections with everything on low but now it's a solid 30fps when driving except very occasional 28-29 fps drops and much higher FPS when out of the bat mobile - usually 60 but drops to high 40's sometimes. The only annoying thing about rasing the max fps is that it constantly switches between a solid 30fps to a solid 60 fps which is annoying.

much better performance now but I hope they keep working on it.
