Batman Arkham Knight - Official Thread!

Apparently they knew about these PC issues.

Devs and companies treat people like idiots and then wonder why piracy is so widespread:rolleyes: Personally, I'd be offended if I bought the game and found it's in such a sorry state.

Don't know what Rocksteady were thinking when they decided to outsource the game to a group of blokes who could probably make a Game Boy game chew up 6 gigs of vram and run at a choppy framerate if they ported it to PC...

I preordered. And am happy with the game. For me it plays very well with little or no slowdown that I've noticed. I uncapped it to 60FPS as well and so far I'm very satisfied with it.

ok onto the game installed via steam and let it start up and run at default game setting's first part of the intro played fine then the story started got passed the press space for incinerator and into the cafe go to see the geezer who is smoking he attacks the copper, bang first game crash to desktop saying low memory, restart pc and try again got abit further this time to where a couple of thugs shoot the copper in the street bang crash to desktop again, tried once more and on this try i lowered the game setting slightly and tried again this time i got just alittle bit further than the 2nd attempt and again crash to desktop with low memory warning.
game specs say i should be able to run this game easily???

anyone care to offer and suggestions not sure if screen res would cause this but i am running that at 2560 x 1440.

any help appreciated

Anyone having issues, I would recommend turning off the advanced fog/smoke. It creates a weird random stutter occasionally like Agnes described above. I will disagree with Agnes though as its a fantastic game.

Official game thread on here is full of people experiencing the same performance. It is a very badly made console port. A recent patch has fixed some issues but not all. I have a GTX 970 too and get around 30fps with advanced smoke turned off. For the memory issues try adjusting your page file.

right this is how i got it to work.

look online how to increase framrate to 120fps. google is your friend
turn off nvidia fog and particles as it makes it use DX10
then turn adaptive vsync to half in nvidia control panel

i know its 30fps but its not butter smooth no hitching at all for me

I'm an arrogant bigot of a man, so honestly, I have no idea how the actual gameplay is, having loved Asylum and City, I imagine this to be great too. However, I lose interest when obvious issues are not addressed.

It's a shame I'm so narrow minded :(

just looked past the performance issues and played about an hour or so if that, and i cant stand the batmobile stuff! just feels like its been shoe horned in as this entries new big thing. ruining the feel of the series imo

I have not read the thread for a while now or looked at comments elsewhere, was wondering if the game is fixed yet or is it still a sorry broken mess?

You planning on buying it? you can have the code from my 980ti if you are.
I've got no interest in this game
