Batman Arkham Knight - Official Thread!

On my Core i7-980X + GTX 980 Ti @ 4K the game runs like a dream streaming off a 64mb cache 7.2K HDD with the only tweaks being the Steam tweak tool to set streaming ram to 4096 & all Gameworks except enhanced rain disabled.

Everything else is maxxed out (AA is disabled as it stops the enhanced rain from working). The game is very stable now & again in Panessa Studios there is a memory leak & it runs out of VRam but apart from that I can play for hours on end with no issues (I only have 6GB System ram as well).

Great game as well I am @ 99.4% overall completion on SP. So much hidden content & gameplay almost the best game in the series (I prefer Asylum overall).

Well, that was weird...

I died during the assault on PD mission near the end. Instead of getting the typical game-over screen with a villain walking up to the screen, I was shown the brutal death of Barbra as a big brute with a mini gun comes down the elevator and mows her down.

To be honest I just want to finish the game now. Kinda getting bored of the combat.

Well I'm 12% in after using the Steam tool to make the game playable, does all the Batmobile stuff calm down or reduce in frequency because its already doing my head in?

Theres a lot of batmobile stuff. Im 90% through the main story and about 80% overall and theres a lot of batmobile content. Some of the side missions are batmobile only but I didnt mind it. Im not a fan of the tank mode in the batman universe setting but I dont feel its controlled horribly.

I'm stuck.. How do i get past this bit?

Nearing the end of the scarecrow missions and i've taken off my belt and gadgets and now I am faced with loads of Jokers.

I spend 5 minutes or so killing them and get like 100 hit points yet nothing happens.

You have to keep doing the Joker takedowns it prompts you to after getting a 5 hit combo. I think it's 5 or so takedowns.

Finally we have a patch update.

Dear Batman: Arkham Knight PC community,

The teams have been working hard to address the issues with the PC version of the game. We are happy to confirm that we are now putting the first interim patch into testing. If all goes well, we expect to issue the patch in the next few weeks. We’ll be sure to report back in the next two weeks on how the testing is coming along.

Below are some of the major fixes and improvements you can expect in the upcoming patch:

• Reduced frame rate hitches
• Optimized system memory and VRAM usage
• Improved performance on all GPUs (requires the latest drivers)
o Min Spec AMD GPU is once again the Radeon HD 7870 2GB

• More Robust In-Game Settings, including:
o Added the ability to change settings for Max FPS to 30/60/90
o Added toggles for Motion Blur, Chromatic Aberration, and Film Grain
o Added a “High” Texture Resolution value
o Added Texture Filtering option
o Added an Adaptive V-Sync option (NVIDIA only)
o Added VRAM Usage Meter
o Added Mouse Sensitivity Slider & Mouse Smoothing Option

• Fixed low resolution texture bugs
• Fixed hitches when running on mechanical hard drives (HDD)

While our first priority is fixing the issues listed above, the team is continuing to work on the following:

• Skipping the boot up splash screens
• DLC/Season Pass content
• Additional updates such as Photo Mode

We again thank you for your continued patience as we work on these issues. As always, we are continuing to monitor and listen for any additional issues.
