Batman™: Arkham Knight Performance

Seems to love itrs vram use, I like the sly superman reference with otisburg showing up a few moments into the video, from Gene Hackmans sidekick Ned Beatty in the original superman movie i believe. :D

FPS top right

You see this still isnt right, even with your spec there are drops down from 90 fps to 60 and back again, for no apparent reason, no extra detail on screen etc.

Then you just extrapolate that out to people with slightly lesser hardware, and the game is still a mess.

Me for example with a boosted 970 and an overclocked I5 2500K and 16GB of RAM still get frequent drops even with fancy stuff turned off at 1080p.

Will it ever be fixed? I think if you throw enough hardware at it you can make it seem playable, but is it just engine issues that will never play nice on PC?

Not being funny but to put that into perspective, I spent less than £600 minus the GPU putting together a small box for my brother last year for 1080p, and even that has a 4600k. Low minimums on a 2500k in 2015 isn't all that shocking of an occurrence I'm afraid to say. Even if the game isn't a mess.

Just think it's broken and they have polished it up to run as best it can.

That's a fair few vids@1440p running TX's and high end cpu's, (skipping through them just in case of spoilers)as reported on numerous different sources-they all hit hitching and dropped to 50fps at times.

Considering UE3 can run high fps with ease and taking into account hardly anyone's running that kind of fire power, that performance is a pretty poor showing tbh.:(

If the any of the four cores were maxed out i would agree with you, they sit at around 50% utilised the whole time....

Actually having said that, i checked the the 4690K is less than 10% faster than the 2500K, really that doesnt mean much.

Game seems to be broken still for me. Re-installed it last night and can't tell if its on the latest build or not... Not sure how to check on steam.

The game caps at 60 for me even with v-sync off. The after a few minutes the fps will plummet from a solid 60 to 30-35fps. To fix it I have to minimise the game and then maximise it... anyone else had this issue?

Edit - Fixed it by changing the game settings in nvidia control panel to v-sync off and power to max performance...

yeah, V-Sync is borked still.

Usage isn't everything, you'd be surprised I think. Not that I would suggest upgrading to one at this stage

I find it really weird that it works for some people and totally knacked for others. Why can it run say on some systems with a 980but then same gpu diffrent mb/cpu and its all goes "holy smokes batmant"!

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has re-introduced the refund policy to one of the most cluster **** of PC releases in recent times:

We are very sorry that many of our customers continue to be unhappy with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. We worked hard to get the game to live up to the standard you deserve but understand that many of you are still experiencing issues.
