Batman™: Arkham Knight Performance

Those with crashes, are you using less than 12gb system ram? If so it does say in the release notes it's still prone to error, something to do with the page file. Otherwise have you tried Verify integrity of game cache in steam?

It is odd that some with similar systems have such a difference in performance :(

Daft thing is i am running windows 10 and only have 8gig or ram and I am now 15 hrs in and not 1 crash.

I've never had a crash but this last patch has really killed the performance for me, I am now 74% of the way through and have had to stop as it's unplayable. As mentioned before on the interim patch I had a solid 60FPS, now its a highly variable 40-60 FPS with GPU usage sticking at 50-60% when the framerate nosedives.

Things I've tried so far:
NVidia drivers 355.82, 355.98, 358.50, 358.87 (all clean installs)
Upping texture streaming poolsize
Validate game files
Deleting, re-downloading and reinstalling the game
Page file off (stupid I know)
Dropping settings
Used Recuva to get as many of the old game files back as possible, but it's still incomplete. I have the exe and all the .dlls but they don't play nice with other game files (game won't launch).

Nothing seems to make any difference at all, it just appears my previously functioning game has been broken by the latest patch. Anyone have any ideas?

That's not

After Ivy sacrifices herself and there is loads of particles in the air
is it?

Remember (even before any patch) that my FPS took a bit of a dive then...it gradually gets better as they dissipate.

Although I am at that exact point in the storyline at the moment, it was fine for me pre-patch. I've been doing side missions so have been at this point for a little while.

Actually, you are absolutely correct - I persevered to get past this point and performance is back to normal. I think it was the combination of that particular particle effect and the latest patch.

I verified integrity of game cache, and went back to the game. It was still poor performance but I played through for a couple of minutes and now it's 90fps goodness at 1440p with everything max... Back to the way it was.

That was quick, left OC a not yesterday about the new code offering and they mailed me back today :D

Edit: Got my code :D Now to decide if I want Assassins Creed Syndicate or Rainbow 6 Siege...

Tom Peterson-Nvidia

I look at [Arkham Knight] as an example of where Nvidia can help a developer get to market with a quality game," Peterson said. "Warner Bros. ... made a few mistakes getting the game out. It wasn't fully performance optimized for PC. So now we're deploying our QA resources and our engineers to make that game as good as it possibly can be.
