Batman™: Arkham Knight Performance

That isn't a statement of fact Kaap lol. That is a recommendation of what to buy. If you click on top sellers for OcUK, you will see 2 G-Sync monitors at the top of the list and you are telling me that they sell more of those than anything? :p

If you click the top sellers you get the 10 monitors listed.

If you click the top sellers again you will get the 2 G-Sync monitors you mentioned.

The funny part about the 2 monitors you mention though is they are both hi rez high refresh rate ones that really benefit from SLI.

I think making excuses for this sort of thing is dangerous, if people aren't critical of missing SLI / CF then why should devs bother to put the work in and support it?
Consoles don't have it, why should PC be special, just make it for console and then just port it over to PC, job done. eh?

Nvidia sponsored this game, it should have SLI, no excuses. especially users making up excuses for them, you ain't a mouth piece for them, are you?

I myself know many people who still game at 1080P and have no plans of moving.

The minority who game at high res is not important to companies ergo MGPU isn't exactly a top priority.

So you don't think that game devs should cater for the people who are buying the 20% of monitors OcUK are selling that are not 1080p ?

I never said that please stop twisting my words yet again.

You are using that as a statement of fact Kaap, which it isn't lol. I am not arguing over it and whilst I am a disgruntled SLI user with a higher than standard resolution and agree with you, I was pulling you up on the way you was trying to show what was what.

Cool to hear. The last straw for me was the microstutter (something I never noticed prior to going G-Sync) and not all games but the majority of mine had this quite noticeably. I got out my old 1080P as well just to see and there it was. It was a real game killer for me and found I was just gaming on a single card for the smoothness. I do hope that DX12 deals with it better and I will find out with Pascal hopefully.

This was the main reason why I swapped back to a single card. I'm just very sensitive to micro stutter. Some games were smoothish to me while others just annoyed me.

Yet 20% I think it was that Gibbo mentioned a while ago that he sells are not 1080p, are these people who are buying the latest hardware not important ?

Any game devs who target the past as their market have something seriously wrong with their business plan.

I quite agree Humbug and yes they should have SLI working and no if's, and's or but's.

Just seen your edit and just pack it in please. I have not defended them and I don't feel they have done fairly to the many SLI users out there. If you run a high res monitor and SLI and you bought this game, you have every right to be ****ed off.

I am using as a fact that Gibbo claimed a large percentage of the monitors he sells now are higher than 1080p.

My last setup was 970's in SLI. It was more of a side grade for me from the benchmarks I've seen online. But I just find everything much smoother. And without the hassle of waiting for new drivers or developers patching it in so it works correctly.

I've gone through many SLI setups over the years. GTX 295, 470's 670's and then the 970's.

I guess I just got caught up in the fact that I'd lose performance if I was to go back to a single card.

I game at 1440 btw.

Thats good to know as I have a single 970 and was thinking of either sli 970 or a 980ti. I game at 1440p too.

You can't take 1 or 2 shops and say that is the vast majority of the gaming market.

It's not hard to understand that until the vast majority of people start using high res and MGPU, Nothing will change as the game devs really don't need it to.

That's 1 shop, How many places sell monitors in the world ?

Again, I'm not condoning this, It's just the way it is.

OcUK are a very large retailer.

It is also reasonable to think that other retailers are selling hi rez monitors as a similar % of their total sales.

I'm honestly shocked to see someone like you who cannot grasp basics here :p

Until the vast majority of gamers worldwide start using high res monitors and MGPU's, Nothing will change as most outside the enthusiast community, Which the enthusiast community is very small, Are quite happy at lower resolutions, It really is as simple as that.

I am sure that is the case with every re/etailer Kaap but that doesn't tell the full story. How many are sitting with their current 1080P monitors or under? How many are sitting with a nice shiny TV gaming? I firmly believe that the majority of people keep the monitor far longer than any other PC component and we have no means of testing other than the steam survey, which I would put more stock into than OcUK's top sellers :p

There is still a very large installed user base of 1080p monitors yes.

My point is that monitors larger than 1080p are now selling in large volumes and this is a market that game devs can not ignore.

In the enthusiast community from enthusiast stores yes, Doesn't change the fact most people outside the enthusiast community which as many know the PC enthusiast community is small, Still game at 1080P or lower.

Anyway this has successfully turned into a circle jerk of repetition of people not understanding logic, I'm out.

Kaap, Dicehunter and greg's thoughts imo are all 'correct' per se, but Dice's words are more the reality.

Humbug hit the nail on the head though, if gpu users were more critical towards either vendor and not predominately one sided, there could be slim chance of rectifying it...

Waits for DX12 mgpu support going clean out the window.

Why is an SLI-Ready PC an Intelligent Investment? No other PC component upgrade can offer even close to the gaming performance boost gained from adding a second graphics card.

That’s performance you can count on

http://www.amd.com/en-us/innovations/software-technologies/technologies-gaming/crossfire

Nvidia link is sparse, AMD one, I'm still laughing.:D

They are both capable of making sure they have solid high scaling profiles for synthetic BM's, because that sells gpu's.

For the investment, support is lousy and why after 5 different gens of running both vendors mgpu, I've had enough, the reward for the investment/time is simply not 'good enough'.
