Batman™: Arkham Knight Performance

Just being brave and bought this game...
run it at 1440p with my Fury, all maxed out, run the benchmark I can see there are some shutters already, min 5x fps max 1xx fps, avg is 80fps, with freesync on.
It shutters quite badly especially when I drive in full speed, the fps could drop to 2x - 3xfps during those scene, quite disappointed, maybe I need to lower the setting and lets see what will happen.

If you haven't already make sure to turn the Gameworks features off that are selectable with AMD cards and also anti-aliasing as it doesn't do much.

Well if you installed it yesterday your game might have already had it applied.

But steam downloaded an update of 2.2 GB and I checked the patch notes and it was brand new. By all accounts it does help with the stutter.

I actually downloaded it on Monday night so I might not have it, and when I played it yesterday night I didnt see any update message from steam, got to check it again tonight, thanks!

Totally inaccurate.

If I had no GPUs at all and I only gamed on an ancient phone my opinion would still be the same.

"This NVidia sponsored game is broken with no 2 way SLI support."

Perhaps you could make your next post about this broken game rather than speculating about peoples hardware and future buying decisions.

Sounds like you may be happier sticking to AMD and playing games that do not have Nvidia effects in them.

How do I check do I have the latest update or not?
I cant see the version reference at the bottom corner (usual)

I would be happier seeing game devs publishing games that work properly on both AMD and NVidia hardware.:)

I remember before the arrival of the internet when games tended to work first time. Why have things gone backwards ?

+1

The internets made devs lazy, They know they can release a half baked game, Get away with it and send out patches at a later date.

I miss the days of putting in a disk, Installing and just playing :(

First time playing this game. With all the reports of performance I stayed away till fixed. I thought I would give this ago and to my surprise the game runs very smooth. @1440p I needed to switch of the GameWorks effects but in truth I find it hard to notice what they really even add over being off.
@1080p I can switch these on and keep a solid 60fps locked.

Does the game get more demanding or something later into it?

1440p - recorded @720p 60fps

You done much batmobile driving? That seems to be where the problems are.

But i've never had a problem with the game as a whole, driving can be a bit odd at times. And they game me all the other games for enjoying this game so much :D
