Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Just booked via Cineworld for the Saturday after release day. Still not entirely convinced, but it's one of the big films this year, so I'll at least give it a go.

According to the trailer the Supes/Zod fight killed some people Bruce was close with? Or maybe it will take cues from the Dark Knight novel and because Batman wont fall in line with political motivations and Superman is their whipping boy.

Might sound like a silly question but why are they fighting in the first place?

'cos reasons :D

I think it's just a total mistrust that Bruce Wayne has in Superman considering his near absolute power. Also the destruction in metropolis takes down a Waynecorp tower so there will be people in there he cared about.

I guess when Afleck is looking up all miffed and upset in the street it's what sets him off?

Think I'd have preferred more Dark Knight and have say James Brolin as an older Batman.

Warming a bit more to Afleck being Batman - a bit. :)

I wonder if all of the people who criticised Afleck's casting (before seeing the film) will go and watch this? Y'know, because they already know he/the film will be terrible.

Booked to go watch it in 4dx next Friday (forgot it was a bank holiday doh) Surprised with how much the 10:40 showing we're going to has sold out already.

Will be longest film I've watched in 4dx, hopefully it's not painful by the end of it :p

I'll probably end up going to see this one at my cheap local cinema, not hugely excited by it but it's still one I want to see.

I'm getting a bit frustrated by how many plot details are given away in trailers these days though. By the looks of it they've pretty much summarized the whole film in the latest one :(

Booked for next Friday...ready for disappointment though.

A huge Batman fan, sold on Affleck from what i've seen in trailers and his other recent movies (Argo, Gone Girl, The Town) but find myself unable to get hyped for this.

Feel it could end up a huge trainwreck of a film with Snyder at the helm.

Ironically he also made my favorite comic book adaption, Watchmen.

Thing is the delay came about when Affleck looked over the screen play, and he brought in another write, so Goyer was moved out of it, Snyder is a fine director, its terrible screen plays that have let him down.

Just watching it the once was enough for me :p

I really want to get excited about this new one but I'm struggling. I really don't like the choice of director, period. His approach/look for Superman on screen is awful imo, the excessive/rubbish CGI that was used in the last, amongst other things just killed it for me. We'll see though, but I'm not going to hold my breath!

I thought the CGI was done well in places, especially with showing off how fast Faora-Ul could move around.
